Blood typing is also called DNA typing. This is when rh protein is added to a and b antibodies.
If antibody A clots, antibody B clots, and Rh protein does not, then the blood type is AB-, AB+ has clotting A and B antibodies, but the Rh protein does clot. Blood type A+ has clotting A antibodies, non-clotting B antibodies and clotting Rh protein. A- has the same antibodies, but the Rh protein does not clot. B+ has non-clotting A antibodies and clotting B antibodies, and the Rh protein clots, and B- has non-clotting Rh protein. The O- blood has non-clotting A antibodies and non-clotting B antibodies, and non-clotting Rh protein, and O+ blood has clotting Rh protein.
O+ blood can receive only O+ and O- blood, and O- blood can receive only O- blood. AB+ blood can receive AB+, AB-, A+, A-, B+, B-, O+, and O- blood. AB- can receive only AB-, A-, B-, and O- blood. A+ blood can only receive A+, A-, O+, and O- blood. A- blood can receive only A- and O- blood. B+ blood can only receive B+, B-, O+, and O- blood. B- blood can only receive B- and O- blood.
