'He's not happy', I said as I looked over to Chloe. Her eyes were locked on Noah, just a mine were 'No. He's not is he. Let's see what happens, not long to go now!'
My legs were bouncing up and down and kept rubbing my hands together, I couldn't stop fidgeting and even though I was watching the game, there was always a corner of my eyes that was trained on Noah. Finally, they had managed to score and the crowd erupted in cheers. They were in the lead with only a few minutes to go.
'HARVARD. HARVARD. HARVARD', the crowd began as everyone stood up around us. Chloe and I joined in the cheers and it seemed to give the boys the pep they needed as I watched Noah break out into a run, the ball in his hand. Back and forward he passed it to someone, who I assumed was River, before River ran it across the line and the siren sounded.
The noise was deafening.
They had won.
I laughed as boys being boys ran into and jumped onto one another as the celebrated their victory.
'You ready!?', Chloe called over the noise as she nudged me. Apparently the boys when they won did a tour of the stadium. Hence our seating location, there way no way that Noah was going to miss me if he walked past.
Their celebrations finished and after a few minutes the boys broke apart and began to make their way to one side of the stadium. Most pulled their helmets from their head, including Noah and tossed them on the floor. Given where they were, the stadium continued to erupt in applause and cheers and the boys clapped along thanking the crowd for their support.
'Their like rock stars' I laughed as a few even stopped to have photos. Chloe rolled her eyes, 'Most teams are like this, some players are a little more down to Earth than others though...including your man'
My eyes stayed locked on him as he walked around, he kept clapping or running his hands through his hair. River walked beside him and they kept nudging each other, at one point I thought Noah was going to push him over. Eventually the team got close enough and it was out turn to bring the noise.
'He's going to lose it', Chloe cackled excitedly as some of the boys passed us. Noah seemed to be bringing up the rear and seemed to be looking everywhere but at us, just as his coach called Flynn and made a motion to him....
'Ah....' I called as I watched Noah start to break away and turn to run back to his coach.
'Oh....no....no', Chloe said as she watched the same scene unfold, before she she pushed herself up onto the rail.
'Noah' I called, following Chloe's lead, 'Noah!'
But of course at that time everyone broke into applause and our voices got drowned out.
I heard Chloe swear under her breath, before she called 'River!'
We saw River stop and look towards Chloe and then to me and then back to Chloe, 'Your.....', he started.
'Yes, she's Elle. Well done! Grab Flynn!', she grinned before she looked back to me as River broke away and took off after Noah.
'Hopefully we can salvage the surprise' she laughed as I watched as River finally caught up to Noah, grabbing his shoulder and pulling him back. I didn't need to know what was said, but I could tell. I saw Noah's head snap back to the crowd and I could feel his eyes lock onto mine.
I could see River grinning as Noah took off, not in coach's direction but in mine.
'Thank God for that!' Chloe laughed as she watched the scene unfold and fell back into her seat and before I knew it, Noah's friend Chris was lifting me up and over rail and placing me straight into the arms that I missed so much.
He was sweaty and exhausted, but his arms were just as strong as ever as they held me. My legs wrapped around his waist before his lips finally found mine. I didn't care about what was happening around us or that River had to go and explain to his coach who I was or that Chloe was busy filming the whole thing to send to our family.
'Hey Harvard', I whispered as I pulled away, weaving my hands through his hair.
'What are you doing here?' he said, his arms never loosening around me.
'Surprise!', I motioned to all this. 'I had hoped you would have seen me in the stands, but I guess this was better.....'
'How long?' Noah asked, his eyes saying that he hoped it was more than twenty four hours.
I bit my lips as I suppressed a laugh, 'I'm here till Wednesday night'
Bringing my lips back to his, we ignored the whistles and the 'awwwwww' before he eventually remembered that we were out in public. 'I guess I should let you get back' I conceded as I made a motion to put my feet back on the ground, but Noah made no move to let me go.
Noah shook his head, 'Nope. Not happening' as she swung me around so that I was on his back. My arms locking around his neck and my legs wrapping around his torso.
'Really?' I laughed as he piggy back carried me back in the direction of the field. My face was red, as I buried it into the back of his neck.
I could hear Noah laughing, his mood instantly changing as he nudged me, his neck shifting one side as I planted a kiss on his cheek.
'I love you'
'I love you more'
His eyes were shining and spoke volumes as he grinned, 'So are you ready for Boston?'
Cute. Cute Cute.
See you soon. x
