I wouldn't say that I am back. Posting could be very sporadic. But I have missed these characters and this community.
Let me know what you think.

Elle POV
'So, your final assessment. And it's a big one...', the class let out a collective sigh as I bit my lip. The school year was almost at it's conclusion. I was going to be a Sophmore at USC and Noah was heading into his Senior Year at Harvard.
Things were getting harder and harder, especially with school from both sides. The trips and weeks between when we could see each other we're getting longer and longer. There were some days where we were only able to send each other a quick message because we were both being pulled in different directions.
Noah was planning on flying back on his last day of classes and then we would have the whole summer together - trips to the beach house, sleep in's. We were basically living together when he was in LA and I loved that I could wake up every morning to him.
But we had to survive school first....and Dad and Linda's wedding.
Alexa tapped her pen against the desk, before it clattered onto the top as she groaned. I chewed on my lip as my eyes glanced over the assessment outline on the projector.
'Your final assessment will be a collective task. Using what you have gained here at USC this past you, you will design and pitch a video game to your Professors. The game can be on whichever modem you chose and you will have creative freedom at your disposal...'
I shot a look over to my friends. Alexa looked worried, Elliot looked pale, Spencer looked shocked and Hannah seemed calmed...apart from her hands wringing under the table.
'You will need to create something that you have yet to present before. It must be a new idea that encompasses what you have learnt. Your pitch will need to include the blueprints or storyboards of the game, at least a portion of the game designed to see it in action and your inspiration behind what lead to your choices...' Professor Mason continued, as she moved through the assessment. The room was really quiet and I knew that a lot of people were freaking out about how big this assignment actually was.
'Now, we are not expecting perfection. We understand these things take months, something even years to perfect. However, the aim of this task is to get your thinking creatively but also prepare you for pitches like this to come in the future - if you plan on pursuing a career in this industry. Also, and this may perk you all up a little bit...' she grinned as chairs scrapping across the floor signalled that people were sitting a little straighter.
'We have been known in the past to invite our associates who work at various gaming corporations....those who do well and impress have been known in the past to walk away with an internship OR a network connection for future projects..'
An excited buzz broke out through the room. Everyone knew how hard it was to get jobs within this industry. You either needed to be VERY good at what you do or you needed to have someone in the know. The aim to do well on this project suddenly increased majorly.
Alexa laughed a little as she looked toward all of us 'Game On. May the most creative of us win!'
I shot her a smile. Now I just needed to think of something that was going to blow everyone away.

'It's really good Elle!', Noah clapped as I finished my pitch and let out a really big sigh of relief. 'I'm so proud of you. You can tell that you have put your heart and soul into it...as you do everything'.
