I was embarrassed as people around laughed at me.
Could you guess who made me trip?
Well it wasn't Will Smith clearly!
Albert: Watch your step!
One of his friends started to clap and cheer for Albert, Jack looked angry, which was odd, he walked towards Albert
Jack: What's wrong with you!?
Albert laughed louder and pushed Jack with both of his hands away
Albert: C'mon Jack it's a joke! Your girlfriend's fine!
He said joking, Jack rolled his eyes, came closer to me, grabbed my wrist and dragged me away from there, we made our way to the cafeteria as fast as possible, we walked to our usual table, where Kaden and Maia were sitting eating food, we sat down.
Maia: Woah! Yn your face is red! What happened?
Yn: I "tripped" again...-
I said annoyed with a hand in my forehead
Maia: Albert?
I nodded
Kaden: When will they leave us alone?
When Kaden said so someone threw an empty can of soda to his head, he let out an "ow" and then turned around, one of Albert's friends, Jake, threw it and he started to laugh.
My group of friends and I have been getting bullied for a while now, it's been months, years even! Most of the time it's just shoves in the halls or rude nicknames... I still can't figure out why people dislike us so much, Kaden says it's envy because Jack and I have second and first place in school, Maia says it's because she's too pretty and Kaden just gets bullied because he's "weak"...We all have little tactics to try and avoid it as much as possible.
However, it's never enough apparently.
Maia: I'm done with them!
Yn: Whatever! We just have to survive another year and we'll be free from them!
Jack: I want to punch their faces!
Kaden: We all do man!
Yn: They're just idiots! I bet they'll end up nowhere in life!
Maia: Ha! Yeah! Albert will be cleaning Yn's house when she's a multi-millionaire
I laughed, my mood got better, I took out my food and started to eat, while my friends started to talk about nonsense, while I took a bite of my food I looked around , I stared for a while at the table Albert was sitting on, he was laughing like a maniac with his friends, when he suddenly moved his gaze towards me, we made eye contact and he smirked at me, I frowned and looked away.
I felt my cheeks heating up a little, which made me feel weird, I took another look at Albert's table, he was resting his chin in his hand looking straight at me, he smiled softly, I felt out of place and looked back at my friends.
What's wrong with him?
Jack: Green?
Kaden: Well-
Yn: Green what?
Jack: Should I dye my hair?
I laughed
Yn: God no!
Maia: Yeah, that'll look bad!
Jack: Well I'm bored of my style
Yn: Then dress differently!
Jack: No! I want to dye my hair and I'll do it sooner or later
Yn: Like when Maia had a mental break down and cut her hair?
