I laughed, we kept talking for and after a few minutes we left the cafeteria earlier before Albert or his group of friends tried to mess with any of us.
Things have been like that for a while

I was at the exit of my school just waiting for Maia, we lived pretty close to each other, so we would walk together at the end of every day, while I was standing there just watching students leave, or their parents picking them up, someone stood next to me, I moved my gaze to them and saw Albert I froze slightly and hoped for the worst, he looked at me for a while.
Albert: Thank you for the answers
He handed me back my sheet of paper, I felt confused because he had never given me back my answers before.
I grabbed it trying to dissimulate my trembling hand and stayed silent for a while
Yn: ...
He stared deep into my eyes and grinned
Albert: Did the cat eat your tongue?
He got closer to me, It was a bit hard for me to maintain eye contact as he was taller and also acting too weird. I took a few steps back and stood up straight to try and look more intimidating
Yn: What else do you want?
Albert: Can't I talk a little with one of my classmates?
Yn: Well-
Then Maia came around, she looked at us confused
Maia: Albert, leave Yn alone please
She said standing next to me and crossed her arms
Albert: Hey I didn't do anything!
I was about to say something else when Maia just grabbed me and took me away from there, we started to walk down the street, we kept walking silently for a while until she said
Maia: What was he telling you?
Yn: He just... thanked me-
Maia: Thanked you?
Yn: For letting him copy my homework
Maia: Yn!
Yn: He threatened me! I had to give it to him
Maia: God he's so stupid! Can't he just use his peanut sized brain and do his own homework!?
I laughed
Yn: Maia calm down
Maia: I won't! I hate that he keeps bothering you and taking advantage of you
Yn: It's not that bad-
Maia: it isn't?
Yn: ...It is bad, but what am I supposed to do about it?!
Maia: Yn we're tired! Maybe if you stood up for yourself then maybe things would change!
Yn: I know Maia, I know!
Maia: Kaden's tired of always hiding his interest in videogames!
Yn: Well-
Maia: And Jack had to leave basketball team because Jake keeps making fun of him for being "too skinny"
Yn: Let's just ignore them!
Maia: It's not that easy!
Yn: Well It's not like the school will do anything about it either-
Maia: Well yeah- ugh!
She groaned and grabbed her hair, I giggled a little
Yn: Hey let's just carry on! The more we avoid them the sooner they'll leave us alone, right?
