Y/n's POV:
"Hey Y/n, I missed you so much." Kit greets sighing, after I pick up the phone call. "Hey Kitkat. Are you on set?" I laugh, sitting up on my bed. "Yeah, I am. We're just in between takes and I thought I'd call you. Were you sleeping?" He questions at the end of the sentence, noticing my appearance and background.
"Yes Kit, it's what normal people do on a Saturday at 7 am." I joke, shaking my head. "Right, I forgot about that. I just wanted to tell you that-"
He's cut off by a person walking into the background, looking at him. "And who are you FaceTiming, Kit?" It was a brown haired boy, his curly hair reminding me of Charlie Spring.
"Oh Joe, are we shooting again? This is Y/n, Y/n this is Joe, he plays Charlie." Bingo, I was right. Joe seems like a lovely guy, making some small talk with me and teasing Kit. "Well, I gotta go now, you should too." He points his finger accusingly at Kit, laughing. "You heard him." After we both say our goodbyes, I end the phone call and get ready to go out with friends, which was my original plan for today.
*time skip*
The house is just as silent as it was when I left, both my mum and dad left to visit some friends of theirs. I go to the kitchen and sit down on one of our stools. I get my phone out of my pocket, noticing that I have gotten quite a few texts.
Kit's mum: Hey, do you wanna come over for dinner tonight? We thought you'd like to
Kit: Can I call you later? Filming has been so tiring ):
I reply to his mum first, telling her I'd love to come over. It's not like I would've done anything more interesting than that anyway. Then I text Kit, telling him a time, by which I sure be home, to call me.
It reminds me of one of those cliché horror movies, I'm at home alone, getting ready for some event when suddenly- the doorbell rings.
This was a joke until this second, but I clearly heard my doorbell ring. The familiar sound rings through the empty house again, snapping me out of my trance.
I make my way to the door, looking though the peephole of it. The hallway light is dark, wrapping it entirely in blackness. There is not even the shadow of a human to be seen, but I slowly move my hand to the doorknob and open it.
That's when he steps in, Kit. His hands are raised to his side, asking for a hug and I'm willing to give him all of the hugs in the world.
"Surprise." He whispers into my ear, pulling away from out hug soon after. "You little shit!" I jokingly hit his chest, laughing. "You could've told me." I shake my head, closing the door when he finally steps fully in.
"I wanted to tell you this morning, but Joe lovelily interrupted our conversation." He smiles, thinking back to what seems to be ages ago. "I've got the whole weekend here, so what do we do with the time?" He smiles like a little child on Christmas would, and I remember my plans.
"I told your parents I'd come over for dinner today, so that seems to be what we're doing." I tell him, smiling sheepishly. "Okay, let me just get my luggage so I can change."
While he is outside, probably getting his luggage, I get changed in my room, wearing something that is more like meeting your boyfriend's parents. Waiting for him in the living room, I check my phone again to see if I've gotten any new messages.
He comes out of the bathroom rather quickly, dressed in a white dress shirt paired with a black pair of jeans. "You look great." Kit smiles, looking me up and down. "So do you, but let's get going now." I stand up from my seat on the couch, chuckling.
I've always loved Kit's parents, they were the nicest people I've ever known and they treated me just like a member of their own family.
We finally get into his car, driving to his parent's house. Before I can open my own door, Kit sprints to my side of the car, opening the door. "Be quiet, or they'll hear you before they open the door." I quietly whisper to him, shoving his side as a joke.
When his mum opens the door it takes her a second to realise who is standing there and when she does, she hugs the both of us, rushing us inside.
"Your dad is going to be so happy!" She smiles, walking into the kitchen where he's finishing the food. "Y/n is here. Oh, she also brought a friend." She smiles and Kit's dad turns around to greet us but he just hugs us both, at a loss of words.
"You didn't even tell us!" They shout, grinning as they finally see their son again.
*time skip to the dinner*
"And, have you met anyone special?" His mum asks, once we're all seated in the living room after the dinner.
"Oh well, about that..." Kit's eyes search mine and I nod, letting him now it's okay. "Y/n and I have sort of been going out for a while now." He says it like it's a question and I can feel the eyes of his parents looking at me and him.
"Finally, we were really wondering you didn't get the hints." His mum says and I am dumbfounded. "You both made it so obvious, but we're happy for you." They smile, and I laugh.
"Well, you could've told us." I laugh, thinking back to how obvious the signs were from both sides involved.
"We thought it'd be best to let you figure it out yourself." His dad shrugs his shoulder and I look at Kit, who looks equally as shocked at me.
"Wait, which signs? I never noticed any signals from you, Y/n."
