Throughout your friendship and relationship with Kit, you realized that there was by far more than one way of saying "I love you" without having to truly say it. And looking back on your relationship, you noticed exactly 10 examples that proved you right.

1. "It reminded me of you."

Back when the two of you were still just friends, and you left town for a few weeks, you noticed how much it pained you to be away from him. So, you searched for constant reminders of the man you called your best friends, which is how you found the bracelet you couldn't help but buy for him.

You found yourself at his doorstep not even two days later, waiting impatiently for him to open the door. When he finally did, you were met with a sleepy Kit, running his hand over his face before opening his eyes to meet yours. "You're back!" With the way he shouted it, you're sure his neighbors are aware of your return as well, but you're happy nonetheless and enter his apartment with a grin on your face.

After catching up for what seems to be ages, you remember the bracelet you had taken with you in the pocket of your jacket. "Oh, before I forget!" You rush towards your jacket and take the bracelet out, giving it to a clueless Kit with a smile. "I love it! But why did you buy it?" The smile on his face was genuine and you were glad he liked it.

"It reminded me of you."

2. "It's okay, I couldn't sleep anyway."

It was a quiet night and Kit was fast asleep when his phone started ringing from the bedside table, waking him up. The light was too bright for his eyes, so his hand reached for the phone and he picked up without checking who the caller was. "Hello?" Your sobs on the other end of the phone made him sit up, as straight as a candle, reaching out his hand to find the light switch, he knew he would probably not sleep again tonight. "Hey, hey, hey. What happened, love?" He asked, pitifully. "We... We fought and-and I think it's really over." You truthfully told him in between uneven breaths. He didn't need you to explain what you meant by that. Kit knew you and he knew your partner, who he had never really liked very much, and so he sat in his bed at 1:30 a.m. and helped you deal with the first few hours of being single again.

The line got quiet and Kit heard some shuffling over the speaker. "Oh god, it's 3 a.m.! I'm so sorry that I called you at this time." There was nothing Kit could do, other than smile and lie to you.

"It's okay, I couldn't sleep anyway."

3. "Just because."

Kit was already fifteen minutes late. The two of you had decided to study for one of your upcoming exams together. When your eyes scan the crowd of students again, you finally find the face of the familiar boy and his excruciatingly perfect smile. "Sorry that I'm late, but..." His voice trails off as he shows you what he had hidden behind his body.

The beautiful bouquet is placed from his hands into yours and you can't help but blush as you look down at it. The butterflies in your stomach are going crazy as you look back up at him, smiling widely. "Thank you, but is there any reason I got these?" Secretly, you were hoping he would confess his undying love for you right here, in front of all these other people, but he doesn't.

The answer he gave you though, was just as good as what you had imagined, because you can't help but smile back at him as he speaks up.

"Just because."

4. "We'll figure something out."

Kit was pacing in your living room, stressing with both his hands in his hair. If he wasn't freaking out, the scene would look almost comically staged. "-And I told Joe I would give him the book back next week but I can't because I lost it and I can't just tell him that!" He's frustrated and you think about a way to solve his problem.
