An Assignment To Accomplish (Rebooted)

4. Descension

Michael: "Oh God...come on, then."

Everyone grabs a rope from their pockets or bags and they begin smashing the glasses as Seiryu already starts tying his rope to the beam on the window he ties the rope around his waist and starts hanging from the window already, waiting for everyone else.

With the windows smashed up and the contractors and the soldier all hanging from the ropes already, everyone starts heading down to the deck below while Seiryu jumps and descends below as they feel the wind caress their faces.

Meanwhile, Roger's gritting his teeth, clenching onto his rope tightly as he doesn't look down. Instead, he follows his close friend, August who's moving down at the same pace as everyone else.

Suddenly, the sounds of a helicopter break the windy howls blowing by the men as a news helicopter flies by them and spots the 5 men with a news reporter and a cameraman inside.

News Reporter: "我们所看到的可能是 5 名武装人员从台北 101 摩天大楼下绳降！ 他们似乎已经消灭了顶层的恐怖分子，并且看起来正在下到甲板上。"
(What we appear to be seeing are possibly 5 armed individuals rappelling down the Taipei 101 skyscraper! They seem to have neutralised the terrorists at the top floor and look to be making their way down to the deck.)

Xu: "他妈的？！ 不不不！ 他们不能在这里！ 嘿！ 出去，这不安全！"
(The fuck?! No, no, no! They can't be here! HEY! GET OUT, IT ISN'T SAFE!)

Seiryu takes notice, seeing what his cousin's doing and joins in to get them to leave the pilot looks at the men waving and he looks at the reporter who's still talking.

News Helicopter Pilot: "我们得走了，他们在向我们招手让我们离开！"
(We have to go, they're waving at us to get away!)

News Reporter: "哦？ 哦，废话，让我们出去，走！"
(Oh? Oh crap, get us out, go!)

The helicopter begins to leave the tower, but as it flies off, a gunshot is heard and a splash of red covers the windows of the cockpit; it begins swerving out of control and starts descending uncontrollably. Seiryu watches in shock and he looks at the others to see that they too heard the shot and are looking around.

*BANG*

*CRACK*

A bullet passes by Seiryu's ear, nearly hitting him and he looks below him to see a glinting light from a window just 5 floors down.

Seiryu: "SNIPER! SNIPER! 有狙击手！ 回来！"
(There's a sniper! GET BACK!)

Xu nods before swinging to the side while holding onto his rope while August, Michael and Roger move back and Seiryu nearly gets hit as the window before he breaks after the bullet strikes it. He gasps softly, holding onto his rope as the sniper's bullet nearly strikes it.

Seiryu: "Ah! Shit!"

He looks down once again, seeing the sniper himself, reloading his sniper rifle, an HDR. He then uses the chance to perform a risky tactic that will kill him if he doesn't think quickly. With the rope still tied to his waist, Seiryu lets go, dropping rapidly to the sniper as he reloads. Before the sniper takes aim, Seiryu yanks him out of the window as he falls before letting the sniper go and grabbing his rope to slow himself down before he can break his spine. Now just above a deck, not the sky cafe, Seiryu looks down, seeing the sniper fall to his demise.

NPLACCP Sniper: "AAHH! AAAAHHHH!!!"

*CRASH*

A car alarm goes off below him and he lets out a small sigh of relief, amazed that he had survived such a risky move. He takes some breaths to calm himself down from the stress he's feeling and he looks up the tower to see his allies rappel down to him.
