6. Assembly of The Mercies

Xu: "You're early."

Hoshiko: "You said it was an emergency, right? So we did what every person would do: shifting it. Anyway, why are we hired?"

Xu: "Hmph. You saying I'm old, Hoshiko?"

Hoshiko: "Well, you're 2 years older than me, Xu."

He chuckles to himself laughing softly as the others stand and look.

Xu: "Well, I'm sure you all got the message. Before I let you settle in, I will inform you when the army finds something about the man we're hunting. The tent you'll stay in is just behind me. Oh, and there are more of your kind in there so don't be alarmed when you see a giant."

Gamila: "Giant?"

Xu: "Well, he's like you. A mercenary too."

The mercs start walking together toward the tent to settle in and they walk inside and are surprised to see everyone else that's in the tent. Seiryu gets up from his bed to greet the new 5 who are amazed by his body shape.

Seiryu: "You must be the other mercenaries Xu knows, am I correct?"

Gamila: "You're large..."

Mikhail: "Did you climb down a beanstalk from the clouds? Why are you so big?!"

Hoshiko: "お前..are you a juggernaut? You're huge!"
(Dude)

Then, to everyone's surprise except Roger and August, Seiryu responds to the redhead's question in Japanese.

Seiryu: "ほら、私がジャガーノートと呼ばれるのは少し大げさです。 信頼できる傭兵と呼ばれたほうがいい。 セイリュウと呼んでください。"
(Well, you see, me being called a juggernaut's a bit of an overstatement. I'd prefer being called a reliable merc. Please, call me Seiryu.)

Hoshiko: "Whoa... Hoshiko. I'm Hoshiko Sugawara."

The 2 men shake hands and in the back, Michael cocks his M4 and inspects it closely, making sure it's working properly, otherwise, he's screwed in a firefight. He turns to see the other mercs now at the front of the tent.

Hoshiko: "Hey, who's the Westerner?"

Michael: "Easy there, mate. Potty mouth like that will get your arse whooped in a firefight."

Hoshiko: "Australian? Australian-American?"

Michael: "Call me Slim, Red."

As the 2 greet each other, the others start settling in their bunks. Meanwhile, one of these new mercenaries, Gamila Amin, looks at Seiryu, especially his M13 which he's polishing and readjusting. She places her bag on her bed and walks to Seiryu who looks at her.

Seiryu: "Hey, you're one of the other mercs right?"

Gamila: "Precisely. Just a question, nothing personal, why's your rifle small?"

Seiryu: "Oh, my M13. The lesser the size, the lighter it can be. Extra mobility. It makes me move faster even though I know the shots might not be as accurate."

Gamila: "Interesting... That explains the grip and the tape by the trigger, to make your shots more accurate I assume?"

Seiryu nods before removing the mag from his AR and passing it to Gamila so she can have a look at the ammunition in it.

Gamila: "300 blackouts?"

Seiryu: "It's a favourite of mine."

He puts the mag back into the rifle before cocking it. He then looks at Gamila and asks her something.
