Kazu stared at the giant gates of UA High School in awe. Did Aizawa live at U.A.? The school was massive and the dorms beside the main building they parked in front of were equally as large. She wondered what Aizawa did at U.A. There was no way he was a teacher with the way he dressed and carried himself, right?
Imagining Aizawa in a classroom with a bunch of teenagers fighting and bickering caused Kazu to giggle to herself quietly. But then again, she had seen how gentle and caring he was to Eri today. Maybe the thought wasn't so far-fetched after all.
A gruff voice pulled Kazu from her thoughts, "This way. My students should all be in bed considering it is past curfew." Aizawa explained.
Kazu's thoughts ran wild. "So he was a teacher. That's an interesting turn of events," she whispered to herself.
Aizawa and Kazu walked up and into the massive dorms. Eri was sound asleep in his arms, her soft snores echoing through the silent halls. It was past eleven at night and just as Aizawa said, all lights were out and no students were to be seen in the main entertainment room.
They made it to a door in the back hallway which Kazu assumed was his dorm. She stood silently behind him as he quickly pulled out his keys and swiftly unlocked the door.
Upon walking into the room, Kazu realized it was not a dorm, but more like an entire apartment. Her deep green eyes went wide in awe as she scanned the room. Was everything at U.A. massive?
She stood in the doorway as Aizawa slipped off his shoes with ease and carried Eri to the back bedroom. A few moments later, Aizawa walked back into the living room. His dark eyes looked at Kazu with annoyance.
"Are you going to continue to stand there or are you going to come in? We have a lot to discuss, girl." he miffed.
Kazu scoffed. "Girl? I am your age or a little younger, Mr. Zawa. Maybe you should have a little more respect."
"If you want respect from me, it must be earned. It is not something I give freely." Aizawa explained, plopping down at one of the loveseats.
Kazu slipped off her ragged shoes and slowly made her way into the living room, taking a seat at the edge of a chair. Even though she wasn't a fan of this hero, he did have a nice home. She didn't want to ruin his furniture.
Aizawa let out a tired sigh and began to rub his temples. "Let's get this over with. As you can see, I live alone with Eri. I am her primary caregiver. I'm also a teacher for the hero course here at UA. I do not have a lot of free time between Eri and my students. With that being said, I am looking for a nanny to care for Eri when I am not able to."
Kazu's mouth dropped open in shock. A nanny? She didn't have any experience in caring for children. Why would he want nobody like her to care for that little girl?
Aizawa noticed Kazu's unsure expression and quickly took the chance to explain himself. "Eri has a very powerful quirk that drives off her emotions. So far, I have been the only one who can help her control it by canceling it with my power. I am currently working with her to learn how to control it herself, but it will be a long process." Aizawa took a breath before continuing. "From what I have seen, your quirk has a similar effect on her as my own. You can calm her down and in turn, deactivate her quirk. Plus, she seems to have taken to you quickly, showing me you are good with children."
"I am offering you a job here as a nanny to pay back the debt of your bail. In return, you will be able to stay out of jail until your trial. There, I will speak as a character witness for you so long as you stay out of trouble. As long as you do not partake in any more criminal activity, that is. The choice is primarily up to you, but you would be stupid to turn down a proposition like this." he concludes sternly, glancing up at the young omega.
