Kazu watched as the clock struck ten. She sighed as she slumped further into the cafeteria chair. Lunch Rush chuckled at her pathetic sight as he sat down a plate of freshly baked pastries in front of her.
"You know, if you sighed any harder I'd think you'd simply blow away." The chef hero snickered.
Kazu rolled her eyes as she picked up a piece of Daifuku, taking a big bite while she sulked. "I mm o oredd." she says with a mouthful.
Laughing again, Lunch Rush takes a seat in front of her. "Didn't your parents teach you that it's rude to talk with your mouthful child?"
Swallowing quickly, Kazu grimaced. "I'm sorry. I said, I'm so bored! Eri is in class, Present Mic and Midnight are in a staffing meeting and Mr. Aizawa is busy teaching his students." she whined as she leaned on her elbows.
"I have nothing to do. I've gone through every hall of this school and read every billboard."
"Well they say the cure to boredom is curiosity. Have you looked into starting a new hobby?" he questions.
Kazu's eyes widened. She recalled Shota had mentioned to her to find a new hobby, maybe she should really look into that. "What would I do?"
Lunch Rush tapped the vent on his face in thought. "I'm not sure. What do you like to do?"
Kazu raised her eyebrows. What did she like to do? The last ten years she spent solely focusing on surviving and not being snatched up by an alpha or the police. She never focused on hobbies or explored what she enjoyed in life.
"I suppose in high school I loved to study psychology. I used to spend a lot of time in the library reading different books exploring the topic." she thought out loud.
Lunch Rush nodded his head. "I see. Then maybe you should visit the U.A. library and browse the selection of different psychology books we have." he states matter of factly.
Kazu mulls over his words. She didn't have anything else to do, so why not start up a new hobby? She cracks a small smile towards Lunch Rush, "You're right. I'll look into that."
He chuckled again as he shifted in his seat, looking around the cafeteria. "Good. I would love to visit more but I must get back to preparing lunch for the school. Those kids are like bottomless pits, I have to make sure I prepare enough to fulfill them all.
She nods and quickly shoves the remaining daifuku into her mouth as she stands to make her leave. She muffles a thank you to the chef hero before turning and heading to the library.
The halls were empty and Kazu wondered why it was so unusually quiet around campus. Was every staff member occupied in the meeting that was called that morning? Where else would they have all gone?
Shaking her thoughts from her mind, she pulls open the unnecessarily large door to the library. Peering around the room, she realizes she is completely alone. Kazu walked to the front desk, looking for any sign of the prestigious librarian.
Clearing her throat, Kazu opened her mouth to speak. "Mrs. Suzuki? Are you here?" she whisper yells. She moves to peer around the large desk and sees a pair of glowing yellow cat-like eyes blinking at her from under the furniture.
Kazu stares at them blankly for a moment before jumping back and shrieking. "What the hell!?" She quickly stepped backwards, tripping over a chair and falling harshly to the ground with a thud. "Ah! Shit!" she curses.
The figure leans forward, crawling out from under the desk. "Oh, uh oof. Ms. Kazu, it's just you!"
Kazu quickly scrambles back on her feet, leaning against the desk, ready to make a run for it if she needs to. She watches as the figure shuffles along the floor, coming out of the shadows. She grimaces as she takes in their disheveled appearance, noticing their gray hair and glasses hanging around their neck. Recognizing the person, her mouth drops open in shock.
