After the long and excruciating car ride, the limo finally pulled up to a large building. Officers and heroes line the entrances, probably as extra protection in case an ambitious villain tried to attack the heroes all at once.
A rather dumb move, if Kazu would say herself. The nerves she had been feeling were beginning to amplify as they pulled up to the blue carpet that was leading into the building.
"Let's get this over with," Aizawa mutters, as he scoots closer to the door. The driver opens the door and Kazu allows Eri to go in front of her. Aizawa helped Eri out before turning and offering his hand to Kazu. She took it gently, and stepped out, fixing her dress the best she could. She rejoined Eri on the sidewalk, waiting for the other two to join.
Kori held out her hand towards Aizawa, who ground his teeth before reaching down and allowing her to take his hand. But instead of letting him go, Kori kept a firm grip on him, not allowing him to pull away. She leaned up and whispered in his ear. "This is our last night, at least act like you're happy to be with me," she sneers and Aizawa sighed deeply.
"Fine," was all he said before escorting her up the steps. Kazu and Eri trailed behind, all the while the omega had a scowl on her face.
Just one night, she reminded herself. If she could make it through today, then she won't have to deal with the bitch anymore.
Grabbing Eri's hand, Kazu held her breath as she stepped into the building.
It was grand, extravagant, and everything you would expect for a high-end venue. Crystal chandeliers, red carpets, large pieces of art, and very fancy dressed people filled the building. Present Mic was right, many of the heroes wore their masks, but their outfits were formal and flashy. Her red dress was fitting in with the array of colors that each person wore, and she thanked the stars she wasn't an oddball.
As they walked by, many heroes turned to give Eri a smile, and the small girl grew shy and clung to Kazu as they walked. They also dipped their heads to Aizawa, and it was a reminder that he too was a respected Pro-Hero. Kori was a smiling mess who waved at everyone, greeting them with a beautiful smile that Kazu could only dream of possessing. As much as she hated the alpha, she wouldn't deny that she was beautiful.
Once they made it to the ballroom, Kazu's eyes grew wide at the large and stunning decor that lines the walls, ceilings, and tables. It was like stepping into a dream world, and Kazu almost had to pinch herself.
She looked around nervously, recognizing a few pro-heroes that she maybe had a run in with. She thanked the dress and make up for being a disguise, because she was sure that no one would recognize her all dolled up. They followed the pair behind till stopping at a table. Present Mic was standing there, dressed in a gray suit with his hair pulled back into a ponytail. He was speaking to a rather oddly shaped hero, but when he saw the group approach he turned his eyes to the gorgeous omega.
"Oh. My. Gosh! Is that Ms. Kazu Kato I see?!" He exclaims as he rushes towards her.
Kazu let out a laugh as she twirled around in the dress. "The one and only!" She bows. "Shocking, am I right?"
"Baby girl, you're one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!" Mic continued to compliment, and Kazu's face lit up in a huge blush.
"Well thank you Mic, you cleaned up well too," She replies, looking down shyly.
The encounter did not go unnoticed by a certain alpha, and Kori found herself yelping as Aizawa's hand grew tighter around her arm. "Owe!" She cries out and Aizawa quickly lets go.
