Swish.

"You staying after school for tryouts?"  Kameron asked me grabbing his rebound.

"Yeah, why not." I said knowing I made my decision yesterday. I went and stood under the goal.

"Cool cause our team is tough, or at least based on last year's team."

"I've heard. Multiple times. You and Isaak are the power duo or whatever." I said rolling my eyes playfully.

"Power is an understatement." We both turned and looked.

Kameron nodded his head towards me. "Right, what Isaak said."

Isaak walked up to me. "I'm Isaak"

"Destiny, but you can call me Des." Kameron just looked at us dribbling.

"So you're the new coach's daughter everyone's talking about?"

I looked at Kameron. "Everyone's been talking about me?"

He shrugged and said, "Everyone on the basketball team, the ones that we close with."

I looked back at Isaak. "Well, I'd rather not be known as the coach's daughter." I said awkwardly smiling.

"I told him you may be just as good of a shooter." Kameron said.

I looked him. "Why would you randomly tell him that?"

"Why are you overhyping her?" Isaak said.

"Overhyping?" We both said but Kameron said it laughing.

"He's not overhyping me. I am a good shooter."

"But you're still known as the coach's daughter." He said laughing a little and pointing at me.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I said furrowing my eyebrows. "Are you talking about the coach's daughter that didn't know who you were until she got here?" I said rolling my eyes.

He got silent and Kameron held the ball. "Damn, y'all just met and already hate each other. Why are you being so arrogant Isaak? That's not like you, let her live."

"Man whatever. I was just telling her what I heard about, Destiny, Des, coach's daughter, whoever." He said walking past me. The tone in his voice made him sound annoyed.

"When you're done bring my ball to me KP." I said softly and walked into my dad's office. I'm not in the mood to argue.

"Des come back!"

"Let her disrespectful ass go."

"Wha- disrespect- I didn't expect y'all meeting to go like this. Bro why are you acting like that?"

I'm not dealing with his attitude on my second day here. He was "disrespectful" to me first. I sat in Coach Williams' computer chair and spun in it.

"What's wrong with you?" My dad said writing on his whiteboard.

"Boys with attitudes."

"Both of them?" He said turning to me.

"Nope." Thank god Kameron's on the nicer side of the two.

"I'll take that into consideration." I stopped spinning and faced him. "Don't! I mean, it doesn't matter anyways. It has nothing to do with basketball."

I don't want Isaak to have another reason to hate me. I spun around thinking. He seems to have a problem with me being...

A good player.

I brought my basketball shoes today so everything was much easier. Today was the same, I spent most of my day with Kayoni and Kameron, but I couldn't stop thinking about Isaak and how he is.
