"Yes yes yes! Tryouts are today!" I feel like I have something to look forward to. I hopped up and went to my closet.

"Dad! I'm sorry for being behind! I'll just grab something to go!" I said yelling to make sure he heard me.
"Okay, let's go." He said walking out his room and to the door. I grabbed a to-go cereal and followed him out to the car.
"Ready for tryouts?" He asked starting the car.
"Yeah. Ready to get back into it." I said looking out the window and eating the cereal.

My dad didn't end up arriving late after all, but we barely made it. He walked in the office and I drag in behind him.
"You were walking so fast, my feet were going double speed." I said which caused him to laugh at me.
"Well if you didn't take your sweet time getting ready this morning we wouldn't be in this situation." He said.
"True true." I changed my shoes and grabbed my ball.
"Not too much today. You got tryouts."
"What was that dad? I can't hear you." I said sarcastically as I walked out.
"Disrespecting your dad is crazy." I stopped before I bumped into KP.
"Gosh, do you always just show up everywhere?"
"Pretty much."
I looked over and saw Isaak. "And y'all travel in pairs? Weird."
"Man what? She asked if we travel in pairs." Isaak said laughing. "That's funny."
I held my ball and looked at the two. "What y'all want?" I said shaking my head.
"Who said we want something?" Kameron said.
I sighed. "Well, KP, first of all, Isaak's here."
"What's that gotta do with anything?" Isaak said furrowing his eyebrows.
"Last time you 'greeted me' you came at my neck, so I came at yours. Then we proceed to pretend like nothing happened-"
