Destiny is new to Summercreek Middle School. Her dad came in as the new boys basketball coach for the school. She was nervous to be around new peers or meet anyone at all, but she loved basketball. Though, some of that would change when she met Isaa...
"NyNy can you get the door please?" I readjusted my glasses as I sighed and got up from my desk.
"Yeah"
I woke up later today, but I wasn't going anywhere anyway so I stayed in my pajama pants and sports bra. My dad on the other hand, was getting dressed just to stay at home.
I walked down the stairs and looked around. "Dad where are you?" I yelled.
"Changing in my room, just get the door please."
"Who the heck is over here?" I walked to the door and opened it. "Isaak?" I said opening the door a little further. "What are you doing here?" He furrowed his eyebrows. He lifted up his Lego bag. "Ohhh right..come in" I said smiling.
He walked in and I closed the door behind him. I totally forgot I said we could build the Black Panther Lego set.
"Des"
"Hm?"
"Why you'n have a shirt on?" He said with a soft expression.
I looked at him. "Why?"
He shook his head. "No reason."
"Who was it- oh, hi Isaak." My dad said sitting on the couch. He sees Isaak so much now that it's normal for him to just pop up. "NyNy, where are your clothes?" My dad said looking at the TV.
Isaak covered his mouth laughing. I pushed him. "I know. I wasn't thinking that he was coming right this moment." I said shaking my head.
I started walking upstairs with Isaak following. Isaak set his bag down on my bed and plopped down beside it.
"What's in the bag?" I said as I pulled a Summer Creek shirt over my head.
"It's for you." I looked at him.
"Me?" I went and sat next to him.
"Yeah, I noticed how happy you were when we went to the Lego store. I mean, it was kind of obvious that you loved them." He said looking at me before he looked at the bag. "I built it already though. Sorry." He said pulling it out of the bag.
He had bought and built a Lego flower set, just for me.
"Aww Isaak!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" I said tackling him in a hug.
He hugged me back while trying not to drop the Legos. "Damn I don't want drop it!" He said laughing.
I got off of him. "Sorry." I said smiling. I grabbed the flowers and set them on my desk. "So I'll see them everyday."
I walked to the closet where I had put the other set at. I took it out and sat on the floor. I pulled out a place mat and set it on the floor too. Isaak came and sat across from me.
"You must build a lot of Legos if you have a whole place mat that you can easily access."
I laughed. "Stop playing with me Isaak." I said as he opened the box and started separating the pieces.

Isaak was laying on top of me and we were just chilling watching Netflix on my TV. More like me cause Isaak had fallen asleep. I was scrolling on Instagram when the girls group chat FaceTimed. I answered and turned my lamp on because it was dark.
"Girl where have you been?" Kayoni said furrowing her eyebrows.
"Right, we rang you like 10 times earlier." Diamond said propping her phone up.
"I was busy." I said whispering while messing with Isaak's hair.
"Why are you whispering? You're at your house-"
"Shhh he's sleep, wit yo loud ass" I said laughing quietly.
Diamond's jaw dropped as Kayoni gasped. "Isaak is at your house?!" I nodded as I lifted the camera so they could see.
"DES!"
"Holy-"
"Shhh" Isaak started moving and hugged my waist a little tighter. "He almost woke up."
"Anyways, y'all definitely like each other cause that's couple behavior." Kayoni said shaking her head. I smiled and looked at him. "Sooo, do you like him?"
I looked at her. "Wellllll, the way y'all know him is different than the way I know him. Like y'all know him as cocky, serious, and a good basketball player, but now I know he's more than that. Like today he brought me Lego flowers which may seem weird to you guys but it's the fact that he remembered my love for Legos and took time to make them, y'know" I said looking at my phone.
"I'm waiting for the words" Kayoni said laughing.
"Right like just say it" Diamond said.
"Fine, I do. I like him." They both started yelling.
"I knew it!"
"You admitted!"
"Oh my god." I said covering my face smiling. Isaak started moving again and then he looked up at me. I muted on the FaceTime. "You okay?" I asked as I moved his hair from in front of his face.
"You like me?"
"Uhhh-"
"Yo Des you good?"
"Des?"
I unmuted. "Yeah, I gotta call you guys back."
"What hap-" I hung up and looked at him.
"I heard what you said."
"How much?"
"Enough" He said laying his head back down. "And I already knew."
"What?"
"Kam told me what you said yesterday."
"I'm killing KP for real." I said messing with his hair.
"I feel the same." He said quietly.
"You said what?" I couldn't hear what he said.
He looked at me smiling. "I know you heard me."
"No I genuinely didn't swear." I said laughing.
He sighed. "I said.. I feel the same." I paused for a second.
"Well I would hope so" I said hugging him. "Cause that would have been embarrassing." I laughed a little.
"Isaak your brother's here." My dad yelled from downstairs. Isaak got up and grabbed his stuff.
I got up and walked to my desk. "Take this." I said handing him the Black Panther Legos.
"No Des. You know you want it."
"But you brought me some, and we built this together so it's technically both of ours."
"Okay but only because you're offering." He grabbed it and then we headed downstairs.
I walked him to the door and we stepped outside. I gave him a hug. "Be safe."
"I will." He said leaning back and walking away.
I walked back inside and shut the door smiling. My dad peaked his head from around the corner where the stairs are.
"What are you smiling for?" He asked.
"Oh... nothing." I said looking off.
"Well now that he's gone, ITS MY TIME!" He said coming from around the corner and shooting me with a nerf gun.
