April 2015

It was now well after three in the morning as you sat in the bathroom of the room Sam had booked for you and Dean. The younger Winchester had gotten his own room while Cass had stayed with Claire in hers. This suited you all perfectly.

After a few hours rest, the plan was to take Claire to Jody's in South Dakota, not that she was aware of it yet. Either Sam or Dean would call the Sheriff in the morning.

You had waited to make sure Claire was okay before you allowed Dean to take you to your room for the night. The two of you were exhausted but Dean insisted on stitching the cut on your arm and cleaning up the Enochian symbols on your body before you both went to sleep.

"Told you this would be easier without the towel." Dean joked as he finished plastering the last of your cuts. "Quicker. And with a much better view."

Dean had already changed into comfier clothes, sweat pants, minus a shirt, in solidarity he told you. Making your view just as nice. You sat in only your underwear on the lid of the toilet seat, sans bra, so he could stitch you up.

"Here." He grabbed the t-shirt he was yet to put on from behind him and handed it to you. "Put this on, it'll be looser on you and better on your skin."

"Smells like you too." You commented as you poked your head through the neck.

Dean greeted you with a gentle kiss as you slipped your arms gingerly into the sleeves. The action causing you to hiss into his mouth. As he pulled away to look at you seriously he asked. "We gonna talk about how reckless you were now, or save it for tomorrow?"

"Only if I get to chastise you about not being around for too long." You said sternly back. When he looked at you confused, you added. "You know. The photo. Something to remember us by?"

"Touché." He quipped back. "Time to hit the hay then. Come on..."

Well that was easy.

He took both of your hands in his and led you out of the bathroom and over to the bed.  Pulling back the covers, he waited for you to settle in before moving in next to you, pulling you close while being mindful of your cuts.

"It's weird, don't you think?" You began as you snuggled into his bare chest.

"Hmmm?" Was his only response.

Sighing, you continued. "This is the third time the protection spell has been set off, and each time so far, I'm the one coming out of it all beat up. Not the angels and demons it's supposed to protect me from."

Technically Dean was the only demon who had set it off on you so far and you hoped maybe he had some insight. "Besides seeing the glowing, did anything really happen to you when, you know?"

"Maybe a little bit of a tingle. It just surprised me more than anything. M'sorry sweetheart. I know you want answers, but I don't have any..." You could tell he was getting sleepy by the way he was starting to slur his words. So you dropped the conversation all together and listened as his breathing slowly fell into a sleeping rhythm.

"Night Dean." You whispered, before closing your eyes, waiting for sleep to take you as well.

You awoke in Tulsa the next morning, still not knowing how you knew the damn name of the city you were in. For something so trivial, it was really starting to get borderline annoying. Made worse, because it was on the tip of your tongue. It was definitely from a television show and you knew when it finally came to you, it would end up being something really ridiculous. Something you'd watched once or something so minor to the programme you were thinking of, it was useless.
