"Maybe..." You giggled.
Dean stepped up closer to you and placed his finger on your nose with a smirk. "Now you at least look like you know something 'bout cars."
"Hey!" You cried as you attempted to wipe off what you couldn't see. "Not funny!" But your actions and expression contradicted what you'd just said.
Dean's smirk never left his face as he picked up his discarded outerwear with one hand and placed the other on the small of your back. "I take it you haven't had any luck tracing down Eldon?" He asked as the two of you walked together towards the living quarters of the bunker.
"Not yet..." You replied with a sigh. "I'm going to go back to it now..."
"I'll come join you after I clean up." Dean informed you before stopping to give you a quick peck. As he pulled back, he focused on your nose and rubbed his thumb over it a few times. "Much better." He grinned, before veering off on the path that would take him directly to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Rolling your eyes, you continued yours in the direction of the library. Giving your nose a few extra rubs for good measure along the way.
When you arrived at the middle table, Sam was nowhere to be seen. Figuring he'd be back soon, you sat down in your usual spot to begin your new train of thought. There had been nothing coming up even remotely similar to the Omaha thing in the past forty years in the States and you wondered if anything might come up in other countries.
You had been at it for about half an hour when Dean entered the war room, freshly showered and wearing his flannel once more. Your face must have mirrored your disappointment when you noticed his approach because he smirked as he said. "Sorry sweetheart, shows over... I might show you more later if you behave." You chuckled at his comment before returning your gaze back to the screen in front of you.
On his way into the library, Dean stopped by the mini fridge he kept close at hand and grabbed himself a beer. Once behind you, his free hand moved to your shoulder, massaging it gently as he commented. "England huh?... Not a bad idea... Anything yet?"
"Europe actually. But the UK at least speaks English.. I figured they're an old family, so maybe they have roots somewhere over there... But nope, nothing so far..." You replied as you turned your head up to look at him.
Locking eyes on yours, he leaned down to give you another kiss. This one tasting of the beer he'd just sipped seconds before. As he pulled back, the sound of Sam's phone caught both of your attentions and you looked around to see where the younger Winchester was. But he was nowhere to be seen.
Dean walked around the table to the space Sam had occupied earlier. The laptop, notepad and coffee cup his brother owned, still there as he'd left them. You soon realised his phone was there too and your stomach churned as you saw Dean move to pick it up and answer it.
"Cass!... No, It's Dean. What's up?... Something on your mind?" Dean's tone turned confused and you knew he was getting suspicious once more. His face said it all.
The call must've ended because Dean never said goodbye to the angel and you heard a beep come from the device. He put the phone down and looked over at you. Fuck! You thought. This isn't good.
"What was that about?" You asked as naturally sounding as you could.
"Dunno..." Dean said coldly. "I told you somethings going on..."
"You think Cass is in on whatever Sam's been up to?" You further pushed.
As he noticed you staring at him, he shook himself out of his thoughts and smiled at you. Just not very convincingly. His eyebrows raised and you noticed his tongue move on the other side of his cheek. "Maybe..."
