Arthur's POV

I scrolled through Instagram where I saw she liked it but went on the post to see she unliked it.

I grinned and went on her insta to watch her recent post.

There she stood moving about and stuck out her tongue and I shook my head at that.

"How about you join her?" I heard a male voice ask.

"I'm tired" a familiar whiney voice spoke.

I watched the video three more times just to make sure I heard correct before sliding into her dm's.

My fingers swiftly tapped across the keys.

Her responses had my nose twitching but I forced a smile on my face so no one would ask if I was alright.

"Boss man who got you smiling like that?" Darnell asked and I flickered my eyes from the screen giving him a momentary glare.

He eventually backed up and left me alone.

"Odell!" I called and the tall man jogged over, wiping his sweaty forehead.

"Sup"

"Remember what I said" I said handing him a cash.

"You'll get the rest when I return" I said patting his shoulder and swung the duffel bag over my shoulder.

I bid farewell and Jack told me to take care.

Sliding into my car and sparking up a blunt I knew I would need for what I was about to do.

I drove with faint music playing in the background.

After a few minutes I reached my destination and looked up at the huge white gates.

I wonder if I should do the decent thing or jump over these gates.

Meh.

I rubbed my hands together and flicked the blunt from my lips. With prior experience under my belt, I swiftly made my way over the gate. But soon the blaring of an alarm sounded.

I slightly jumped back at the sound and watched a figure from the upstairs window peek from the curtain's.

I made sure to force a wide smile and waved friendly.

In a few seconds the front door opened and there stood Alison in a white robe.

I walked closer and a frown formed on my face when I saw the big bruise on the sides of her neck.

"What do you want?" She asked and my gaze flickered from her face to a man sprawled out on her couch.

Loud snores sounded from his drooling mouth and for some reason I think I recognize him.

"Arthur?" She called with a stern look.

"This was a mistake" I said turning around but a hand halted me.

"Just say what you came to say." she said and I smirked before turning to face her again.

"I have an insane request that you'll probably decline but just think about it"

"Yes go on" she said crossing her arms after the closing the door gently behind her.

"I'm going back home for a few days and I was wondering if you could tag along. You know incase...

"Incase someone beats you within an inch of your life.You want me to stich you back together?.Yeah I know" she said with a forced smile.

I couldn't stop looking at the purple bruise with a stiff face.
