Arthur's POV

I swirled the tooth pick between my fingers while bobbing my head silently with my ear pods in.

My eyes would briefly glance over to the woman sleeping beside me whenever she would shift or turn.

After letting it repeat the third time I felt satisfied enough to turn to look at her.

With a tired groan she reached for her phone and opened her heavy lidded eyes.

Once realization dawned on her she jolted on her feet in a hurry.

I watched her in a state of total disarray--hair knotted in a total mess.

It took the strength of a thousand men to keep the laugh in.

"Are you alright?" I asked biting the inside of my cheek.

She paused and glared at me with contempt.

If it wasn't her I would have said that face is real ugly.

"I should be at the salon and you sat there and watched me sleep." She said stomping on her feet like a 2 year old.

"That isn't my responsibility now is it?" I said placing my devices aside.

"Miss mam gone kill me" she mumbled and I let my feet land on the floor.

"No need to worry I sorted everything out for you"

I watched from the side of my eye, her hands landing on her broad shapely hips.

"Speak"

I scrolled on my phone a bit and turned the volume up on my phone.

As soon as it started I watched her frowning face morphed into one of surprise and horror.

"Why you listening to that?" She asked scratching behind her ear.

"You never told me you had such talent. Then again at least that mouth is good for something other than talking crap" I said before a cushion collided with my face.

"At least you got taste for sumth. I thought your jam would be the opera with ya white self" she cackled holding her stomach at her own stupid joke.

I watched her with a straight face until she recovered.

"What that video got to do with anything?" She asked with folded arms.

"I told your employer that you weren't feeling so well. She gave you all the time you needed to recover and hoped you get better soon"

"What the hell did you say to her?" She asked with a turned up nose.

"Let me finish woman" I said through clenched jaw and she raised her arms in defeat.

"I was thinking of something.....

I said interlocking my fingers under my chin.

"That you would go to London with me" I said shifting my gaze to her.

Her brow arched in confusion as she looked at me, waiting for me to finish.

"It won't only be for leisure but of course to get your talent out there that's if you want to" I said.

Her eyes flickered to the blank floor, in deep thought.

"You have time so need to get wrinkles on your face" I said getting up.

"I'll go if Chloe get's to come" she spoke up.

I chuckled and walked until we were face to face.

Twirling a strand of her hair, I inched my face closer to hers.
