Bryony's POV

With panted breaths and a sweat breaking at my brow, I looked behind to see an older man shouting at us. Fist balled up with a news paper.

I tugged at his hand and he slowed down before going at a complete stop.

"You good?" He asked looking behind me for a splint second.

"I'm good" I said already recovered from our short sprint.

I looked back to see a few people gathering where the old man was and giving us glares.

"What did you do?" I asked, our fingers intertwined while swinging back and forth.

"I just stopped to say hi and he pissed me off so I kicked his stand over" he said simply as we crossed the road.

"Sounds like something you would do" I let out a sigh while shaking my head.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed my neck.

"Say cheese" he whispered and I looked around for a camera.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"Those school girls over there standing beside that sweets' shop." He said and my eyes instinctively went there.

Three giggling girls stood, the shorter of them videoing from her crappy looking phone.

"You want to go say hi?" He asked pulling me along with him.

"Let go dammit" I said writhing in his iron grip but it was no use.

"Hello darling" he greeted and they giggled and flushed at the simple endearment.

"You look so taller in person" the shorter of the group spoke up, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her reddened ear.

"Aren't you small as a button" he patted her head, flashing them a charming smile.

The taller one looked down at her feet as her friends got closer to him.

"Hey what's your name?" He asked gesturing to the shy brunette.

She slowly lifted her head and he smiled holding out his hand, she looked back at me for a some sort of permission.

"Don't worry she isn't as scary as she looks trust me" he said and she smiled widely, blue eyes sparkling in happiness.

She reached out and shook his hand. The dark haired girl patted her tall friend on the back with a proud grin.

"You have pretty eyes" he said and she lowered her head before mumbling a thank you.

"Would your girlfriend mind if you took a picture with us?" The dark haired one spoke beaming in hope.

"She wouldn't. Would you baby?" He asked going into the middle of them.

"Stop telling people we know each other" I grumbled but he payed me no mind while posing for a few pictures with them.

The blondy is kinda pretty. She's probably his type.

Once he removed himself from them, the blonde halted him with a smile.

"Maybe your number too" she batted her thin ass eye lashes. I watched the knowing smirk on his face grow.

Ah hell to the fucking no.

I reached right for his hand and pulled him over to him.

"I thought we didn't know each other?" He said brushing his knuckles over my cheek.
