Power Trip POV

I was at home with three of my siblings one day. It was a random day, no special occasion, but I had a surprise for them. I would have to pick the right moment for them. I had bought the tickets at a local fair which was held to raise money for UNICEF to help child victims of domestic abuse. Being a minor myself, I empathised with the cause, so I had bought six tickets - one for myself, three for my siblings (though not for Embers since she was only six years old), one for Nock Em since she was my best friend, and the last ticket I had intended to give to Electrodynamix, but he could not come, so I gave it to Cycles, who was a close friend of Fingerdash's and loved that activity, since TOE was also busy. Nock Em and Cycles already knew, and they were going to go with me.

I waited until Viking Arena, Deadlocked and Fingerdash were in one room and I casually entered, acting like normal.

I waited a bit before suddenly exclaiming, "Hey! I have a surprise for you!"

"What is it?" Deadlocked was acting moody again.

"It's tickets to go canoeing!" I replied.

"That's cool!" Fingerdash and Viking Arena exclaimed in one voice.

Deadlocked did not say anything.

We used public transport to get to the reservoir where the canoeing was to take place, since all four of us were minors and therefore could not drive.

However, we had to pick up Cycles because her mother had said she could only come with us if we picked her up, so we asked the bus driver to stop at where Cycles lived. Of course, only me and Fingerdash actually went to pick up Cycles, in case Clubstep saw Deadlocked and got jealous, so we pretended that only girls would be going canoeing.

After we had picked Cycles up, we went back to the public transport. Nock Em would meet us at the reservoir, and besides, she was not a minor, so she could come by herself without her parents' permission. Our parents had allowed us to come by ourselves, and they trusted Nock Em since she was actually quite mature and smart for her age.

When we came to the reservoir, Nock Em wasn't there, but that was okay because we had come early. However, I had bought a picnic mat, some jam sandwiches and some fruit for us to share while we waited for Nock Em.

Suddenly, a girl came running towards us. She had shoulder-length blonde hair with parts dyed pink and purple, and she wore blue jeans and a neon green t-shirt, as well as an ice crystal on a thread hanging around her neck. It was the one and only feral cat Nock Em.

I got up from the picnic mat and ran towards Nock Em, opening my arms out to embrace her. She did the same thing, but her ice crystal swung and hit her body. It would have been a bit painful, but since my lava crystal was in my bag, I had no way of experiencing the hit at that moment.

After the hug, we went back to Deadlocked, Fingerdash, Viking Arena and Cycles. "Wait here while we pay for the canoe." I said. They were sensible children, so I trusted them to wait. I was sensible too. Nock Em at least looked like a child, so I guess she also fit in the sensible children category.

We went up to the cabin where ISpyWithMyLittleEye was checking tickets. I handed the tickets to him, but he handed them back.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I need someone who isn't a minor to hand me the tickets. And you're 17."

I sighed. I hated being a minor. I hated that the RobTop levels' ages were publicly known. As well as that, it seemed like you had to be of age for everything. At least next year would be much better.
