Chapter Nineteen: Five measly hours

Start from the beginning

I rolled my eyes before getting my teacup and going to the sink. There was a knock on the door, and both of us quickly glared at it in suspicion.

"You get it," I said.

He did as told, grumbling along the way about how he'd already done it before.

I held my breath as he opened the door. He sighed in relief, stepping aside to show a confused Carolyn (not Crayola). I let out a breath and smiled.

"Care to explain why I just saw Sasuke Uchiha sprinting out the apartment building?" she set her camera stuff down on the dining room table before sitting on a bar stool. Ashton closed the door and sat next to her.

"Well...uh-"

"Sasuke kissed her," Ashton said.

"What?"

"And he has a fiancee," he said bluntly.

"What?!"

"Also he got jealous of me and thought I was straight," he shivered.

I blushed furiously and silently put the teacup on the dish rack.

"I'm gone for five measly hours, and this happens?! What the fuck guys, Sakura you have some explaining to do."

"Ashton, you said you'd do it," I mumbled.

He let out a sigh and began explaining everything from the beginning.

-----------------------

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Carolyn asked me softly.

Talking to her about stuff made it more serious, since she was actually the one who gave comfort. Ashton helped me by being facetious and getting my mind off the subject. Ashton wasn't usually one to get all mushy and sentimental.

"I didn't really wanna talk about it..."

She hugged me, "I get it. But still, if I had known you were like this...Honestly you're so dumb. You always know that talking to someone makes it feel a hell of a lot better, so why keep it to yourself?"

I leaned my head against her shoulder, "I don't know, it just felt kinda embarrassing."

"It doesn't matter! It's unhealthy to do stuff like that. It only builds up the stress and depression."

Ashton left earlier to give us our privacy and we'd just walked to my room. We were currently sitting on my bed.

"I'm sorry," I muttered.

"It's cool. But seriously. This time you should follow Ashton's advice and not worry about it. Everything's gonna work out, I swear," she smiled.

I glared at her, "How do you expect me to do that when he's practically always on my mind?! I even fucking dream about him, I can't get him out of my head and it's fucking killing me! Seriously, what is up with you people brushing off my feelings like this? How do you know it's gonna get better, because it sure as hell doesn't seem like it is anytime soon."

"Sakura-"

"No, and you know what else? I'm so fucking sick and tired of this shit. My friends still talk to him and pretend that everything's okay when it's not!"

"You're being self-centered. How do you think Sasuke felt when you practically forced him to break up with you? You're not the only one here that has feelings! And then to top things off you completely ignore him for like five years while you kept in touch with everyone else? He spent five years in hell, probably wondering what he did wrong. He felt the same thing you're feeling now. You need to sit the hell down and contemplate that it's your fault too."
