One day
You're twenty one
And you step out of the shower
And you realize
That you miss smelling like
Chlorine.You aren't a swimmer
And you haven't been
For nearly 8 years now
But you can still remember
How it smelt
When you'd shower.
How no amount of water
Could wash away the chemical
And no amount of conditioner
Could conceal the chlorine smellYou burnt of chlorine always
And the smell permeated you like perfumeAnd oddly enough,
You're suddenly 21
And ever so faintly
Missing the smell
Of chlorine03/06/24
