School Bus Graveyard [Yan!Various x M!Reader]

M/n looked to his side to look at Ashlyn who was, obviously hiding her face hoping Aiden won't recognize her.

"Sorry I'm late everyone. These two are new to the school, so make sure to give them a warm welcome." The teacher explained "You guys can take a seat as well."

"Let's begin with introductions, shall we? We'll go in alphabetical order." (Uhm so obviously you guys will have different names Soo..you'll just go after Ashlyn..)

"When it's your turn, state your first and last name and say something about yourself. As an example, I'll start us off." The teacher grabbed a blue marker "My name is Thomas Walter and this is my first time teaching my own class. I look forward to being with you all!"

[M/n's POV]

Ashlyn went up to the front of the class and introduced herself "Ashlyn Banner, I like dogs."

She quickly walked back to her sit and sat back down, I gave her thumbs up before walking up front also.

"Just call me M/n, sometimes I like to motor around town!" I introduced myself giving everyone a friendly smile before walking back to my sit

Then Aiden introduced himself,etc etc. Aiden seemed excited to know that I was a motorcyclist, he even joked that him and Ben should join me sometimes. I didn't decline, it would be fun actually..

I was talking to Aiden when I suddenly heard the teacher say something about a group project. I quickly looked Ashlyn who was panicking, unlucky her. First day and we already have a group project..

I exhaled through my nose as I observed Ashlyn who was hiding herself from everyone by using her shirt. It kind of reminds me of turtles, cute. I felt someone glaring at my skull and looked around to try and find who when I saw Tyler glaring at me.

"What?" I questioned him, he just scoffed at me and muttered 'nothing.'. i tilted my head "Was it because I laughed at you while the teacher was scolding you?" He just grumbled further

I sighed and put on an apologetic smile "Well if it upsets you that much..then I guess I apologize for making you feel that way, I didn't mean to make it seem like I was laughing at you, really I didn't. You think you can forgive me?" I hand out my hand to him for a handshake

"I guess it's fine.." Tyler grumbled while hiding his face who seemed to turn red and accepted my handshake

[3rd POV]

Ashlyn looked at M/n with a soft look before sighing.

'Somehow it's a bit surprising for him to be so forgiving with others despite the situation not being fully his fault..' She thought before hiding her smile behind her shirt 'Honestly, I'm glad I get to be his friend.'

"You aren't gonna go on the field trip?" Aiden's specific sentence quickly turned M/n's head towards Ashlyn and ran towards her

"What?! Asher you can't do this to me, I can't go in this field trip without having my best friend there!" Unbeknownst to M/n, he didn't realize Aiden's dark face when he mentioned about Ashlyn's being his best friend

"What's wrong? I mean you have others right?" Aiden asked calmly

"Well field trips aren't usually fun without Asher, so if she's not going then I might as well not come.." M/n frowned

An irk mark appeared on Aiden's face 'Why not? You have me and Ben to accompany you, surely it won't have much effect if she doesn't come.'

Before he knew it Ashlyn and M/n already got out of the classroom, Aiden eyes at the permission slips on the desk before grabbing two 'No way in hell, if I have to convince Ashlyn to come with us so that M/n will join then so be it.'

"Looks like school went well." Ashlyn's mom, Emma, stated

"It didn't." Ashlyn replied "Not only am I stuck with that guy on the bus and class but now I'm in a semester-long group project with him..I don't wanna go back tomorrow."

M/n pulled a chair beside Ashlyn and began patting her head in hopes it will make her feel better. Emma looked at him and smiled.

"Well ok the bright side, you still have M/n to accompany you. Maybe you'll finally make some new friends too." She suggested

"You know that isn't going to happen." Ashlyn responded to her mom with a gloomy look, cold sweat started to run down M/n's face by his friends usual act..

"How could you say that?! How can you deprive your parents like this?" Emma dramatically said while slamming her hand on the table, startling all 3 people inside the room.

Emma quickly glanced at her husband, Mike, before he suddenly gets the hint. The couple started being dramatic about all the situations and experiences Ashlyn will miss of she doesn't get new friends. M/n and Ashlyn could only look at the married couple who was putting up a dramatic act.

"They're so bad at acting.." Ashlyn muttered to M/n who could only chuckle at them

"But they're fun people to be around.." M/n hated to admit but..he envied Ashlyn alot for having them as her parents, his parents was completely absent in his life. Yeah they provided his money and allowances so he can buy things for himself but his life at his house was dull.

Often times he would have sleepovers at Ashlyn's house so he won't feel lonely at his own house. But he's glad..he's glad Ashlyn has wonderful parents to take care of her..

"You guys done yet?" Ashlyn asked, the married quickly said 'yeah' and stopped their act.

"But in all seriousness, in your entire sixteen years if existence, you haven't once had a friend BESIDES M/n. No offense M/n, we still love you." Mike said, M/n quickly shook his head and puts a thumbs up.

M/n was stuck with his thoughts once more, sometimes he wondered to himself what he ever did to feel this way. I mean he had things people wanted. Money,luxury,expensive stuffs,etc but still he felt lonely and sad about his life.

He felt selfish, selfish that he wanted more than just money and luxury. He wanted to feel the warmth and love of a family, a full one. His entire life he was just alone inside his house, no parents,siblings,nor any relative. And it sucked. Just why can't he just feel grateful-

A hand over his hand snapped him out of his thoughts, it was Ashlyn's. He was unconsciously gripping his hand until his nails started to break the skin of his palm.

"You okay, champ?" Mike asked him

Champ..he smiled a bit, although his biological parents were never there for him in his life. The Banner family still made him feel like he was apart of the family, maybe he was wrong..

"Yeah, just stress about school.." he sighed

"Don't sweat about it sweetie, with your type of personality you might make alot of friends!" Emma tried cheering him up..yeah he's fine with this life.

A knock on the door interrupted the mood, Mike was about to stand up to get the door but M/n quickly stood up.

"I'll get it!" He said before making his way to the door

"M/n don't o-" Ashlyn was about to stop him but was too late because M/n had already opened the door.

Aiden was at the door holding something with his hand and the other his phone, M/n failed to notice Aiden's face britghten up once he saw him "Hey!"
