[3rd POV]

M/n sat on one of the couches, patiently waiting for Ashlyn to come out. He felt a bit awkward since this felt like a family meeting/gathering/greeting and he was just there, he hates awkwardness actually. Currently he was tapping his finger on his knee, waiting for Ashlyn to come out of the bathroom because she decided to sprint in there once he opened the door.

FLASHBACK

"Oh, hey Aiden,Ben!" He greeted them with a smile and noticed the two new people behind Aiden.

"Ah you must be M/n! Ben and Aiden talked so much about you!" The woman with brown hair stated, M/n blushed a bit at the statement

"Really? Well, I hope it were good ones!" He chuckled

"Oh actually he-" The woman was cut off by Aiden

"Okay mom-! That's enough.." Aiden quickly cleared his throat while blushing a bit, Ben was also blushing failing miserably to cover it by using his hand.

"Hey champ, who's at the door?" Mike peeked from the wall.

"Oh this Aiden and Ben, they were the people me and Asher talked to this morning!" He introduced them

"Asher? I thought it was Ashlyn?.." Aiden's mom asked

"Oh..Asher is just..a nickname he uses to her." Aiden silently gritted his teeth

"Oh I see, come in come in!" Mike greeted them inside

Aiden noticed Ashlyn and gave her a smile. M/n looked at Ashlyn before quickly giving her a grin to which she gave a smile back. Ah, dark gloom started to cover Aiden's eyes once more..

"Sorry for coming on such a short notice. Aiden told us Ben,him,your daughter,and M/n here have been fast friends, and so we wanted to come and introduce ourselves-" He quickly stopped once he noticed the other married couple choking and coughing on their drinks "Oh my, are you two alright?"

The banner couple just coughed and encourage the Clarks to continue what they were saying.

"I was just saying that we're happy to see Aiden and Benny fitting in." He continued "We move around a lot so Aiden's always been homeschooled and even for Ben, it's been awhile since he's gone to public school."

'Ah so that's why Aiden had so many hobbies..' M/n thought as he looked at Aiden, he was a bit startled to see that he was already staring at him, the same goes for Ben..

"Oh that's exciting, are you guys having fun?" Mike asked, Aiden and Ben's attention turned to Mike

"Yep! Especially with the field trip." Aiden explained Ben nodding after

M/n and Ashlyn quickly froze when Aiden mentioned the field trip, M/n was excited while Ashlyn glared at Aiden.

"I thought it'd be fun for Ashlyn and M/n to come along too.." Aiden stated

"What field trip?" Emma asked

"Oh you don't know?" Aiden's mom said

While the parents were discussing about the field trip, the teenagers were having a staring contest. Ben noticed that M/n sat beside him and handed him a cracker if he wanted one. M/n leaned forward and took the cracker using his teeth before munching on it. Ben blushed and continued eating his own cracker. Ashlyn glared at them, having the urge to pull M/n to her side instead but she didn't wanna do it infront of the parents so she just suck it up.
