NEFARIOUS - TAEGYU ??

Beomgyu and Taehyun enter Sir Choi's office and he looks up at the two boys expectantly. He gestures the boys to sit in the chairs in front of him and they do as tell.

"Taehyun-ah, I heard you're doing well. Your studies are great and you're doing great at your part-time job." Sir Choi compliments, striking up the conversation.

Taehyun nods. "I'm glad everything's turning out well. I'm also slowly recovering."

"That's not why we're here, right?" Beomgyu cuts in, earning a glare from Taehyun.

Sir Choi chuckles as he knew his son's the type to not stall. "Actually, I've been doing some thinking and I've decided on something." He looks at Taehyun, eye to eye. "Taehyun, what do you think about moving into the dorms?"

Taehyun's eyes light up, his smile unable to hide. "What?" the only word he could muster.

"You've wanted this right? You told me your friend Soobin stays in the dorm without a roommate. Considering how well you're doing and have fully recovered. I think you deserve it. I can't keep you cooped up here."

Beomgyu glances at the younger to find him still smiling. He can tell Taehyun felt happy that his suggestion to move to the dorms was considered.

"Then, can I move in next week?" Taehyun asks.

"Of course."

Taehyun stands up and bows. "Thank you, Sir, this means a lot to me, I'll repay you for all the care you've given once I've saved enough."

"You really don't have too, Taehyun. It's my pleasure. Everyone enjoyed your company. You're also welcome to stay over here during the weekends or whenever you want, the guest room will always be ready for you."

"Wow..." Taehyun sighs, but still smiling. "I've gotta start packing!" Taehyun exclaims his hand flailing in joy, before he bows and excuses to leave the room, leaving Beomgyu and his dad alone. Beomgyu waits for the door to click close and the sound of footsteps fade before he starts to talk.

"What changed your mind?" Beomgyu asks his dad. "You said he was a special boy."

Sir Choi stirs his coffee before taking a sip. "Wasn't it what you wanted? You can go back to your regular duties at the warehouse. I've always wanted to let Taehyun do whatever he wants after he's better and he already is. Didn't you see the sparkle in the boy's eyes? He really wanted to live in the dorms and experience more. I can't hold him back."

"Is there something I don't know about him?" Beomgyu asks.

Just as Sir Choi was about to answer, his phone buzzes. "No, you know everything about him. Now, the new shipments have arrived, can you make your way to the warehouse? They're short on hands, and only you can keep the place organized."

Beomgyu wanted to ask more but he decided to drop it. He gets up from his chair and bows, before leaving the room. Just as he turns the knob of the door, he comes face to face with Namjoon.

"Oh? Doctor Kim?" Beomgyu greets.

"Is your dad in?" the Namjoon asks and Beomgyu nods before exiting the room and letting the doctor enter.

Just like Beomgyu, Namjoon waits for the sound of his footsteps to fade.

"Why are you letting the boy go?" he asks.

"Taehyun?" Sir Choi questions.

Namjoon nods. "Do I have to remind you what one of Eoduun's men said? Taehyun seems to play a role in Eoduun's clan. It's only unfortunate that he lost his memories. They're coming after him, don't you think?"

Sir Choi shook his head. "If Taehyun was an important asset to them, he wouldn't be abused severely. It's been 2 months and nothing has happened. Y'know how Eoduun plays, whatever the man said was probably a mindless threat. Taehyun's is just another one of their victims and we happened to save and provide shelter for him."

Namjoon nods his head, pretty convinced with what he said. "Alright."

"Don't worry. We won't let anything happen to him."
