NEFARIOUS - TAEGYU ??

One month later...

Taehyun places his signature on the contract, accompanied by his dad's, King Ha Joon and Mrs Choi's. Taehyun finally terminates the contract that the Yeong-won's and the Royal Family had.

The contract of not intervening each other's lives, finally gone, buried and will only remain a mystery.

"Son..." Ha Joon calls out for Taehyun but Taehyun ignores his dad as he gets into his car and asks his driver to the only place he could think of.

So, what happened?

Last month, everything that happened between the Yeong-won's and Eoduun have ended and everything that happened between Yeong-won and the Royal Family has resolved. Taehyun continues to go to college, his best friends, Soobin and Kai, including Ryujin mentally supporting him. Yeonjun calls Taehyun time to time, just comforting him and Taehyun has been doing nothing but study, eat, read and sleep.

What about Beomgyu?

Taehyun arrives at his destination and before his mind can even process, his legs instinctively move mindlessly, trudging his way in. He makes his way up to a room that's constantly being watched over by guards. As soon as the two built man see Taehyun walking towards them, they make way for him. Taehyun slides the door open and enters to a tragic sight. Taehyun lets out a remorseful sigh.

He hasn't woken up.

Beomgyu lies on the hospital bed, his face pale like a zombie's. The heart monitor beeps like normal, nothing out of the ordinary happened, it remained at a steady pace like always. The elder's arm is connected to the IV drip, his breathing supported by the NIV. His eyes still closed since the day he collapsed in Taehyun's arms.

It's been a month since Beomgyu fell into a coma, but it felt like dreading years.

Beomgyu lost a lot of blood along the way to the hospital, he even had to undergo blood transfusion as he was at the brink of death. It was a miracle that he survived.

Taehyun has been visiting the hospital every single day. He'll stay over during the weekends. Taehyun quit his job at the book café. His dad would sometimes come over to support him and he's never been so grateful. His dad apologized after everything that's happened and since then, he has always been there for Taehyun although Taehyun can't help but feel guilty for ignoring him at times. But he appreciates that his dad is giving him time to heal, away from royal duties and he even allowed Taehyun to move out.

Taehyun moved back into Beomgyu's apartment but it wasn't the same. It was empty, and quiet. The place he called home used to be filled with laughter and small chit chats, and loving memories of him and Beomgyu; all the kisses and cuddles.

He needs time to heal, but he isn't sure if he will ever heal if Beomgyu doesn't wake up and honestly, the only thing keeping him sane is the 'Caballero' ring that Beomgyu gave him before. He holds onto the ring, hoping Beomgyu would wake up.

Taehyun settles down onto the sofa beside Beomgyu's bed and he places his head on the bed. He'll interlock their fingers, never wanting to let go. Sometimes, Taehyun would drift to sleep in that kind of position and he'll wake up with a sore neck, but it's a lot better than always waking up to Beomgyu who still hasn't even opened his eyes.

Taehyun would also read. And not just to himself, but loud enough for Beomgyu to hear. He knows how much Beomgyu likes hearing him read and whenever Taehyun reaches a steamy scene, he'll chuckle as he remembers all of Beomgyu's dirty jokes that he makes out of it.

He'll also whisper songs to him.

He pretty much did everything that Beomgyu loves about him.

Taehyun pecks Beomgyu on the lips not breaking away their fingers.
