Most Peculiar (Enoch O'Connor x Reader)

Miss. Peregrine leads Jake and Y/n deeper into the garden where they see the younger children playing by different garden sculptures. They walked up to the Twins that were tugging a teddy bear. "You met the Twins." Miss. Peregrine says. The Twins stop fighting each other and look at her. She leans down to grab the teddy bear and tugs it in half, giving each twin half the bear.

A little girl in a pink dress with blond curls runs up to them and stands behind the Twins. "This is Claire." Miss. Peregrine introduces with a smile. The three kids run off as Miss. Peregrine leads the duo away. Jake and Y/n turn their head around to see each twin on the see-saw while Claire watches them.

"Millard you met." Miss. Peregrine points out as they see him kicking a ball away from a different boy in a strip shirt. "And that's Hugh." They saw Hugh open his mouth as many bees flew out to fly around Millard so Hugh could steal the ball.

"Stop cheating, Hugh." Millard says as he goes to chase Hugh. Once he was close enough, Millard pushed Hugh and kicked the ball away.

"Millard, that's a foul again." Hugh says and both boys go to a T-Rex garden sculpture with the ball landed in their mouth.

"No, it wasn't. Ref?" Millard says as a different boy in a suit walks towards them. "If you two can't play soccer without squabbling, I wish you wouldn't play at all." The boy in the suit says and walks off.

"Do you know what a referee is?" Millard says as both boys think of a way to get the ball down.

The trio stops as the boy in the suit walks towards them. "Good afternoon. I'm Horace. Delighted to meet you." Horace says as he sticks his hand out. Jake and Y/n shake his hand as they hear both boys near them. "We sorely need some new blood here. Super shirts, by the way." Horace says as he walks off.

"Thanks." Jake says as they start walking once again.

"You know Emma, of course. And I think that's everyone." Miss. Peregrine says as they see Emma by a huge tree with a rope around her shoulders.

"Didn't Bronwyn have a brother?" Y/n asks.

"Yes. Victor's upstairs." She says not looking at the two. "Wait, where did Enoch and Olive go?" Miss Peregrine asks Emma.

"Heaven knows. Enoch's been off sulking ever since we went out to get Jake and Y/n." Emma answers.

Suddenly, Fiona comes running towards them, "Miss. Peregrine, there's a policeman at the door. He says it's about the pub!" Miss. Peregrine looks at Emma with a stern look as Emma looks at her slightly scared.

"We'll discuss this later, Emma." Miss. Peregrine begins to walk off as Y/n speaks out. "It wasn't their fault. Honestly, they were just trying to help." Y/n looks at Emma as she smiles at her in thankful. Miss. Peregrine looks at Y/n thinking before she walks away.

"Thanks. You're not as quiet as I thought." Y/n smiles at her in thanks.

"She's not really gonna kill anyone, is she?" Jake asks with a concerned face.

"Not if she can talk her way out of it." Emma then looks at the rope on her shoulders. "Would you both help me with something? Enoch usually does it, but like I said, he's off sulking somewhere." Emma says as she hands Jake the rope.

"Is that because of us?" Jake asks.

"He's possessive." Emma says trying to come up with a better response.

"So, what did you need help with?" Y/n asks.

"One of my daily chores. Put the baby squirrel back in the tree." Emma then looks at her watch.

"What baby squirrel?" Jake asks. Suddenly, Emma puts her hand out as a baby squirrel lands on her palm. She then shows the duo the squirrel in her hands.
