As soon as Tintin parked the car outside the Hall, Nestor arrived with a team of men in suits. They looked very similar to the officers guarding Professor Tarragon's home.
Yet Captain and Tintin were suspicious. They got out of the car but Calculus stayed inside.
'Nestor? Who are these people?' Questioned Captain.
'Im sorry sir but I had to open the gates to them sir.' Nestor apologized, but the officers interrupted the conversation. One of them came to the front and tipped his hat in respect. Nestor stepped aside.
'Good evening Sir, we're from the Syldavian secret service. We're here to offer protection to Professor Calculus' he stated.
'I see' Tintin stepped in. 'Can I see your certifications?'
'Certainly sir' The officer offered his identification card. Tintin opened it to inspect and Captain also joined.
'Very well, but shouldn't you done all this before? It would have stopped this incident you know' Tintin raised his eyebrow, as he gave the card back the officer.
'I'm sorry sir, but we're we're ordered not to make things obvious.' He states blankly.
'Make things obvious?! Thundering Typhoons what kind of an ostrich is your boss?! Closing the stable door after the horse has bolted?' Captain fumed.
'I apologize behalf of our ministry, but we can't surpass orders given from the top ranks. I myself regret it, but there was nothing we could do but obey' He responded.
'It's no use arguing captain, let them do their job at least now.' Tintin insisted.
'Alright, but if anything happens to that poor old man...'captain points at Calculus who is in the car, 'I'll show you all who Sir Francis's great grandson is!' Captain thundered away.
Calculus gets out of the car, with a puzzled expression. The officers came towards him.
'Good day Professor, let us carry your briefcase' one of the officers offered.
'No more interviews for me thank you very much!' Snapped Professor Calculus and marched inside the hall.
'Well gentleman, It seems you've got lots of explaining to do to get your jobs' Tintin grinned.
