"WHAT?"
You snapped at him. Your eyes wide with disbelief. This asshole is the leader of firelights? Really? Fuck me then. The entertained smile slightly faded from the boy's face, and he gave you a long and thorough look.
"Why were you looking for us?"
Oh, we're serious again, sure.
"I heard that you like, fight against Silco and shit, I want in."
You said in a slightly more serious tone.
"And your plan was to blow up Silco's shippment?"
He gave you a questioning look, one eyebrow raised higher.
"Simply put."
"Why should I recruit you?"
"That... I do not know. But I do seem to fall into the stereotype of the people you did recruit."
Okay, maybe being a smartass wasn't such a bad thing after all.
"Didn't plan that far ahead?"
"More like I didn't expect the leader of this amazing rebellious operation to be a total jerk."
He nodded instead of a reply and just simply left.

What the fuck was that? You groaned and rested your head against the pole you were chained to, starting to fiddle with the lock. Somehow, after a few minutes of you doing this, it came undone with a snap. You freed your hands from the chains and let them fall into your lap. You couldn't run away from here, not when this was where you wanted to be in the first place. You groaned again.

Your eyelids suddenly felt really heavy and you couldn't help but let them fall. Your breathing slowed and you fought your slipping consciousness. No, don't. Not here. Not right now. C'mon, stay awake. Open. Your. Damn. Eyes... Quiet breathing filled the room and you drifted off to sleep.

Someone shoved you and your sleeping body fell from the sitting position and your side hit the ground. You jolted awake.
"Hey! You know how rare it is for me to get some sleep?"
"How did you- whatever. Get up."
The boy, correction, the leader of Firelights commanded you. And to his and your suprise you actually listened.
"What do you want with me now?"
"It's not what I want with you, 'ts what you want with me. You're in. Let's go."
Your half still asleep eyes were now fully awake and wide, corners of your lips curled into a little smile.
"Wait, like, you're letting me join?"
The boy sighed and nodded.
"You managed to blow up one of Silcos' ships. You've impressed me. Let's go."
This time it was you who nodded and followed him out.
