Misfits (ekko x reader)

You fell down with a thud again. Your limbs ached, your ass ached, your lip was cut. You got up with a grunt and Ekko chucked dryly.
"Again."
He was watching a from a safe distance as you stood up on a hoverboard, which you learned were the devices the Firelights flew on. The machine started to shake again, becouse of your inability to keep balance. You moved your feet to the stance you saw them use, or at least tried to recreate it as much as you could, and leaned slightly. The hoverboard started to fly with you slowly, you tried to stop it. And your ass hit the ground again.

You sighed and let your body lay limp on the hard ground. Footsteps approached you, Ekko was looking down on you with a entertained grin. He offered you an arm, which you gladly accepted and he pulled you up. It reminded you of Vi's training a little. Yet it was so different. You felt stupid, it normally didn't take you this many attempts to get a grip on something.
"This is worthless."
You muttered to yourself, but maybe a little too loud and Ekko heard you.
"You said that you would do anything I wanted you to, if you got time to learn. Don't disappoint me."
Yeah, real pep talk. You scoffed.
"I just.. It normally doesn't take me this long to learn."
Ekko shook his head.
"If you'd let me show you how, it'd be quicker."

You stepped up again, this time, Ekko was standing on another hoverboard in front of you, offering you a gloved hand to keep balance, you took it hesitantly.
The device wasn't shaking now, you learned to keep steady a little, after a lot of attempts and a lot of falls. Ekko shifter his feet, his stance vastly different from the one you used. You repeated the action, mirroring his stance. He then shifted his weight and his board started to move, you did so too, but somehow your board moved backwards. You panicked and held the boys hand harder, making you fall of your device and get dragged slightly.

"Sorry."
You said and got up again, your arm and the left side of your face were slightly scraped.
"I've ever seen someone be sorry for getting hurt but sure."
He replied with his head slightly tilted. You felt your face with your hand and then looked it over too.
"You good?"
"I'm fine, let's try again."
You said with a determined face and went over to the hoverboards again, but he grabbed you by your arm, stopping you.
"I think I've seen enough for today."

"I can do better."
You turned your face to him and furrowed your brows. He rolled his eyes and let go of your hand, turning his body to face you.
"Sure you can."
He folded his arms and raised his eyebrow. You turned your whole body to him, your face hardened.
"I do."
He sighed and shook his head, chuckling a little.
"Aight, let's do it differently then."
"Differently?"
"You'll see."
