First you tried helping with food preparation. A girl, who's name you didn't remember, was chopping up something and you tried to spark a conversation and offer to help, and she let you for a while. The conversation wasn't all that bad eighte, but you seemed to be a lost cause in almost everything you put your hands on there. The third time you cut yourself the girl told you that maybe this wasn't the right thing for you. And you agreed. So you said your goodbye and went to look further for something to do.

In the end, you ended up surrounded by four little kids, one of them was Scar's, one of them was sitting on your shoulders, the other two were blabbing on about something. Then, the one sitting on your shoulders clasped his hands.
"Look!"
He stretched a closed hand to your face and opened it. A little green bud flew out of it. You've seen them around. Ekko called them firelights, so you presume that he named the operation after them. But you haven't seem them from this up close, and they were kinda cute.

You ended up letting the kids try to teach you to use a hoverboard, but you felt sceptical, if the leader couldn't teach you how to do so, could these little kids? However, as you listened to them talk over each other and give you various tips, you actually felt a little more confident and when you tried to move the board, it finally did what you wanted it to!
"Look! I'm doing it!"
The kids looked so invested in your progress and their faces lit up when they saw you moving slowly.

When Ekko returned, he was wearing a mask and that huge coat of his, other members were with him, and Scar and someone who you didn't know the name of were carrying bodies, you caught a glimpse of a familiar pink, but ultimately, you had a better thing to do. You turned back to the kids, speeding up a little. I mean, who'd want to lose a game of tag to a few little kiddos. You made a sharp turn, and tapped Scar's child on the head. She groaned and turned her board towards one of the other kids.

You were actually having fun, but before you could turn to join the chase, a voice called you to the ground. You reluctantly flew down, stopping the board, and carefully placing it on the ground.
"I see you found someone better to train you."
Ekko was maskless and coatless now, wearing a white tanktop and a orange scarf.
"I did actually."
He raised his eyebrows at you, arm folded, amd tilted his head back a little.
"That so?"
"I mean,"
You shrugged and made a face before continuing.
"I can use the boards how, even if only a little."
"I thought you enjoyed our flight."
Ekko's face displayed a slight smile.
"Enjoyed?"
Your face on the other hand, wide eyes and a bewildered expression.
"I was scared shitless."
Ekko faked a frown.
"C'mon, it wasn't all that bad."
"Uh, excuse me? I think we both remember things a bit differently."
"Please, you'll come crawling back, begging me to train you again."
"Pfft, sure, just leave some room for us with your massive ego."
He shook his and chuckled a little, but then his face turned more serious and he gave you a honest look.

"Can we talk? In private? I wanna tell you something."
You looked around confused.
"Me? Why me?"
"'Cause I wanna."
"I mean, uh, sure? I don't think the kids'll miss me that much."
You shrugged and he nodded, then he started your hoverboard motioning for you to jump up. You did so, knowing what's gonna happen next.
"How 'bout you fly us this time, since you had such agreat lesson."
"Sure, but if we fall, it's on you."
"I think I can live with that."

He slipped in front of you again, grabbing your waist and putting his feet next to yours. You didn't know if if was normal for the Firelights to fly around in pairs, but he seemed so nonchalant that it made you think so. You were carefully watching your feet again, before speaking up.
"Where to?"
"My room, to keep the score even."
You nodded and started controlling the device, making it go up. You still felt nervous about heights on the machines, but it wasn't so bad now.
