Misfits (ekko x reader)

You planted your feet onto the hoverboard again, this time, it didn't shake at all, you've made at least some progress. Ekko held your hand for stability from the ground, but then suddenly, he slipped onto the device too, facing you, but being so fucking close, oh my god. You tried to move to give him more space, but when stepped back, the device tipped. Ekko quickly caught your waist and pulled you back.
"Let me do the movin' eh?"
"Uhmm.. Sureee."

He put his feet next to yours, so that when he moved his feet, you had to move yours too. Then he leaned slightly and the device started to move foward, you just stood there like a statue, processing what was happening, intently staring at your feet. Ekko was still holding your waist, you on the other hand, didn't dare to touch him in the slightest.
"You good?"
"Mmmhmmmm."
"In that case.."

The device tilted a little and started climbing up. You could see the distance form between you and the ground and your stomach turned. Yet you didn't dare to look away, but what you did dare to do, was to finally hold onto him.
"I'm gonna barf."
"You better not."
He tilted the device to a straight position again, but kept the faster speed, you stated to feel hot and sweat a little, your nervousnes came from two different things.

Finally, the hoverboard slowed, until it finally came to a stop, at this point, you had your eyes shut tight and only felr the change.
"You can let go now..."
"Oh yea right, sorry."
Although, you holding onto him was the last thing you cared about now, it still made you feel a little awkward. You were supposed to be brave and independent, not cling onto someone becouse you were apparently scared of hights. Also, why didn't you feel scared on the airship?

Your eyes slowly peeled open and you let the boy go, he left the board and it tipped again. Obviously, you fell becouse of that,this time, a quiet yelp escaped your mouth. Your ass thudded against the floor and you covered your mouth, hoping that he didn't hear anything.
"Where are we?"
You looked around, the trees' leaves surrounded the wooden balcony.
"No, no, no, I heard that."
He did hear everything. Great.
"Nuh uh."
You got up from the ground, your body really ached by now, but the view was even better that the one that was presented to you yesterday. The cur on your lip opened again.

"Did you just, 'Nuh uh' me?"
He raised eyebrows at yiu and looked you up and down, and you felt even more awkward that before.
"Noooo?"
"You realise that your future is in my hands right? And so far what did you do?"
And to add onto the awkwardness, you felt useless, stupid, and worthless.
"I'm sorry, I'll- I can do better I swear!"
You tried to defend yourself. But to your suprise, Ekko just chuckled.
"I'm just messin' with you."
He waved his arm at you dismissively. You felt a little better.
"Trust me, I've seen worse."
