You were on the watch tower with Rogue, Kaylus, the exceeds, and unfortunately Calista. She had insisted that she come. Sting had left a few minutes prior to track down Fairy Tail and bring them to the watch tower so they could see the island.
When the finally showed up, you noticed a small little green... something, standing next to Natsu. It was adorable. However, you didn't get to mention it before Sting went straight for business. "There, that island." He said, pointing to it.
"What about it?" Natsu asked.
"Is it not where it's supposed to be?" Gray crossed his arms.
"It shouldn't be at all." Sting announced.
"It popped out of the ocean three days ago." Kaylus explained, and everyone from Fairy Tail looked at him strangely.
"Who's that?" Natsu raised an eyebrow.
"That's Kaylus. He joined about a week ago." You answered Natsu.
"And I'm Calista." She smiled, but everyone ignored her.
"Anyways... could it have been an underwater volcano? Islands just don't appear out of no where." Lucy rationalized.
"I've considered that, but there was an earthquake shortly before the island appeared and I think it has to do with that." Kaylus said. "There's already a forest on it, so it came with the full package."
"Hey Lucy... is that a building?" Natsu asked her, squinting a bit.
"It sure looks like it..."
"So, we got instructions from the Magic Council. They—"
"We want you to survey this island." Lahar, head captain of the custody enforcement unit, said as he joined the group of you. Surprisingly, Wendy and Carla were with him. "Both guilds together. Fairy Tail and Sabertooth as one."
"You came a long way to check on us, huh?" Natsu crossed his arms, looking at Wendy.
"About that..."
"The master sent us to check on you!" Carla seemed to be scolding them. "Everywhere you've been, mysterious stories of arson and vandalism have followed."
"Mr. Lahar stopped by the guild for a visit right before we left, so we decided to come here together." Wendy explained.
"If we're to preform the first expedition, then we need to know everything about this island." Erza instructed. "I do not plan to go in blindly."
Lahar looked down for a moment with his eyes closed. "The magic council has ordered me to tell you this: the island is dangerous."
"That's it?" Natsu seemed shocked, but turned around to look at the island again. But then he noticed his green friend staring off into the distance. "Hey, is something wrong?"
The green friend just hummed.
"What is that, Natsu?" You asked, not taking your eyes off of it.
"Oh, this guy? This is KemoKemo! Do you know what he is?"
"No, I've never seen anything like him... but he's adorable!"
"We shouldn't waste no time. We should head to the island now." Lahar interrupted. "The boats are ready."
"Boat?" Natsu seemed stressed out, and so were Sting and Rogue.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of the both of you." You giggled a bit. "Wendy, you can cure motion sickness too, right?"
"Yup! I can help Natsu."
You smiled a bit and worked a bit of your magic before loading onto the boats. The boats seemed to move very quickly, but all dragon slayers were unaffected thanks to you and Wendy.
