My father couldn't quite believe that I had returned and that nothing happened to me! The one question he had was how come I have aged.

I had brought Wei Ying and Lan Zhan to him and I introduced them as my soulmates and that raised even more questions.

Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were currently kneeling in front of my father.

"So you are the one who has corrupted my son?"

My father asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I think he was already corrupted when we got him."

Wei Ying whispered under his breath.

"Do you want to say that louder Wei Ying?"

My father asked and Wei Ying shook his head.

He looked at Lan Zhan.

"Please take care of my son between you and him, I trust you more."

Lan Zhan looked at Wei Ying.

"I think you ought to have trust in Wei Ying,
if you knew the amount of pain he has endured because of Isaih and I then you'd know how protected and loved we are.
I know that most of the time he acts shameless and like he doesn't care about anything, but words like what you have said injure him."

He said softly.

"Father out of everyone I've known Wei Ying has been the most careful with my heart,

I wouldn't have brought him here to you if I wasn't sure about him,
don't be like the others that don't know him!

Get to know him and then make your judgement."

My father sighed heavily.

"I understand what you are saying and I accept your relationship as it is."

He picked up Wei Ying and Lan Zhan and we all sat down around the table.

"On other news we went to the Jiang Sect and I met your ex-wife."

"You mean your mother."

"She's not my mother, I barely know her."

"Isaih!"

"Father you can't expect me to call her mother when she hasn't been present in my life since I was born,

and she had other children and not once did she think about me so please!"

"Isaih."

Wei Ying grabbed my hand and he held it gentle.

"She's not a perfect person and she has made a lot of mistakes in her life and yes nothing could ever excuse her not doing her part in your life,

No matter what happened at the end of the day she's the woman that gave birth to you, she is your mother.

Yes it is a title she doesn't deserve but it doesn't change that she's your mother, whether you have a relationship with her or not, do you understand?"

He caressed my head in a loving way.

"I understand Wei Ying."

I said obediently, my father was staring at me like I had grown an extra face.

"I have to step outside for a bit please excuse me."

Wei Ying excused himself and then Lan Zhan followed him outside.

"Father can I...?"

He nodded his head and then I went outside, only to find my soulmate folded into himself and Lan Zhan trying to untangle him.
