Wei Ying

We left the Bai Sect and Isaih made a promise to his father that he would return, we were on our way returning to Cloud Recess.

When we arrived there Jiang Cheng and Meng Yao were bickering.

"Lan Zhan I am going to check on Lan Huan."

Isaih decided to come with me, and I could just see Meng Yao eyeing my baby.

"Wei Ying can I borrow this young boy."

Meng Yao said in a taunting voice.

"He might look young but he's quiet, I think in the hierarchy you would have to call him uncle."

Both Meng Yao and Jiang Cheng gasped.

"You're teasing me again!"

Isaih sulked.

"Go ahead baby I will wait for you here."

He said and I went to see Lan Huan, he was buried in a stack of papers.

"Well you look pretty chilled."

He lifted up his head and he smiled.

"You're back."

I nodded my head.

"Do you have time to talk?"

"Sure."

He sighed,

"How are you feeling?"

He looked surprised as if he wasn't expecting me to say this.

"I am okay but I feel bad about what happened."

"I was going to yell at you but I don't think that's what you need right now, you need to take care of yourself."

He nodded his head.

"Wei Ying what did you mean earlier when you said,
there's three Soulmate Keeper?
You said one belongs to me and two belong to you."

"Can I hold out that information from you a little longer?"

He nodded his head,

"Yuchen is looking for you."

"I know he is but it's not time for us to meet just yet."

I said softly.

~Isaih~

Meng Yao and Jiang Cheng were staring at me like I was something to eat.

"You know the more I see of you, the more I get curious about you."

I smiled wryly, my eyes locked on theirs. "And I'm sure you're both just fascinated by my charming personality," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

Meng Yao chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"Oh, no, it's much more than that. You're a mystery, Isaih. A puzzle we can't quite figure out."

Jiang Cheng's gaze narrowed, his eyes burning with intensity. "Yes, and we always get to the bottom of things. Eventually."

I raised an eyebrow, my heart beating steadily. "And what makes you think I'm worth solving?"

Meng Yao's smile grew wider. "Oh, we think you're very worth it. Don't we, Jiang Cheng?"

The tension between us was palpable, the air thick with unspoken challenges and secrets.

I knew that I had to tread carefully, that one misstep could lead to disaster.

But I was ready for them, my heart and mind prepared for whatever lay ahead.
