Ch 33- A Happy Memory

[Flashback to One Year Ago]

You can't help but grin widely when you step foot off of the ship. You are wearing a simple, long blue skirt, a white button-up, and a blue jacket, a dark blue hat atop your head. The clothes were snug against your body but you are too eager to observe the area around you to notice Levi's fond stare on you. Your eyes wander the crowded streets of Libero, once again on Marley grounds but this time you feel freer and more comfortable in the presence of Levi and your squad. When your beautiful [e/c] eyes finally meet Levi's, he can't help but want to hide away from your gaze. You don't notice the flush of pink against his cheeks as you take his hand in yours, gently looking up at the handsome man you have the pleasure to call your own. He had navy pants, a white button-up and black tie, a black vest and a navy jacket along with a navy hat on his head. If not for the slight difference in the shade of blue you wore you would've matched, and you hadn't stopped yourself from commenting on that earlier before you left Paradis, much to Levi's embarrassment and internal contentedness.

His grip on you tightens as he sees Marleyans look at you in awe, a sudden beauty amongst their crowded streets but you pay no attention and Levi's eyes are fully on you as you point at the colourful buildings and markets that surround you. Your joy is contagious as even Levi can't help the small smile that reaches the corners of his face. Your rambling is cut short when you hear a familiar voice touch the air. You, your squad and Hange turn, only to see it was Onyankopon who approached you all, a warm smile on his face. "Welcome to the continent of Marley! I'll guide you to the Azumabito estate." Lively music is heard around you as you and your squad smile at his presence. "Onyankopon!" Hange greets him with a raise of their hand, letting out a joyous laugh. Onyankopon joins in on the happy moment, "I'm glad you all made it! What do you think of Marley's biggest port?" He asks you all with a grin, only to be interrupted as a moving vehicle passes by.

"Wha-?! That horse! Or... is it? Huh?" Connie's face is a look of bewilderment as he points the vehicle out in surprise. "It's some sort of cow! It has to be!" Sasha joins in, bright curiosity captured in her gaze. "It's a car! I've heard about 'em before!" Now it's Hange who speaks, a flush of pink on their cheeks as they look to the mode of transport pass by. You sigh slightly shaking your head at their blatant shock at something that would be so common in Marley, and attracting the attention of the locals nearby. Of course, you knew a lot about cars and such from your last visit, although you never really had the luxury to leave the confines of the building Zeke kept you in. "Hello there, car!" Hange's voice is loud as they call out, their voice clearly distinguishable against the crowd. Armin and Jean voice your thoughts mumbling in embarrassment at the sight of the Commander attracting unwanted eyes. Hange, Sasha and Connie don't heed any of the social cues however as they chase the car frantically hoping it will stop.

"If we don't stop 'em they'll try to feed it carrots," Levi mutters from next to you gaze bored and causing you to laugh as Onyankopon approaches the two of you. "Don't be silly..." He mutters but is interrupted as his gaze diverges to where the three ran off to. "They're buying carrots!" You let out another laugh holding onto Levi's hand in amusement as the man next to you smiles internally, happy to see you happy; happier seeing it was because of his comment. You stop momentarily when you realise that Mikasa, Armin and Eren aren't nearby. Looking over your shoulder you spot them talking a small distance away. Levi seems to catch on as he turns to the three as well. "Hey! Stick with the group." He calls out before his gaze somewhat sharpens when he looks at Eren. "Especially you." Armin calls out affirmatively and Levi barely has the chance to notice when you slip away from his grasp as you approach Sasha who seems to be distracted by a strange food held up in a cone.
