Wrong Number

Monday:

I walk down the sidewalk, face partly hidden by my hood. My heart was pounding, but I knew I had to get away. I walked a couple blocks down, avoiding any eye contact. I kept my head down as I weaved through the people.

Why was Loki at the Avengers Tower? He was a murderer, he should be looked away. Wait, was that why Thor was there? Mr. Stark wouldn't just let Loki walk free, not after what he did. I open my phone to text Harley.

Me: Hey, Harley?

Harley: What's up?

Me: I saw this black haired guy in the Avengers Tower. 

Do you know who he is?

Harley: Can you be more specific?

Me: I think he said his name was Loki?

Harley: Oh, I overheard the adults talking.

Odin- Thor's dad- banished Loki here. They said Loki's going to be working with them, as punishment. And to work on learning to be a better person.

Why do you ask?

Me: No reason

Can you take care of Ivy for me?

Harley: Yeah, why?

I lock my phone screen, shoving it in my pocket. I walk down the street, surprisingly calm. I walked without anyone talking to me, which was good. I stop when the sun starts to set, climbing up on a fire escape

I go up a couple floors, and sit down on the metal. I set my duffel bag next to me, laying on my side to use it as a pillow. I curl into a ball to make myself less noticable. I silence my phone, closing my eyes.

Tony POV

After the boring conference, we go down to the kitchen/living room floor. I look around, seeing the stuff on he counter. It looks like someone had been cooking. I furrow my eyebrows, walking over. "I'm guessing Harper was down here?" I say.

"She was gonna make supper for us? Aw, that's so sweet" says Wanda.

"Where is she?" Asks Banner.

"Good point," I say.

"I'll go check her room," says Nat, going to the elevator.

A few minutes later she comes back, hair slightly out of place from running. "Her stuff's gone"

"What!?" Cap asks.

"JARVIS, check security footage." I say.

"Miss Harper left about an hour ago, sir." Says the ai.

"Where'd she go?" Asks Bucky

"Why would she leave?" Asks Sam.

The elevator opens and Loki enters. He looks up, seeing them all look at him, "What?" He asks.

"Brother, there was a small mortal here about an hour ago. Do you know where she is?" Asks Thor.

"Why would I know?" He asks, brushing past them.

"JARVIS, show me the security footage." Says Banner, walking up to the TV.

The screen lights up, replaying the scene of Loki and Harper. The camera switches, showing her running up to her room, and coming back down with her bag, eyes red from crying. It shows her leaving the tower before it starts.

"What did you do!?" Bucky growls, walking up to the god of mischief, who backs away. Bucky puts his metal hand around the gods neck as Loki puts his hands up in surrender.

"I didn't do anything, I merely scared her," he says.

"Bull. Why'd she freak out?" Bucky growls.

"How would I know?" Loki makes a face.

Wanda walks up, raising her hand to try and break into his mind.

"What are you doing?" He asks, looking at her with a confused look.

"Why can't I read your mind?" She tilts her head

"Because my mind is too strong" He responds

I walk past them, "JARVIS, get my suit ready."
