Well, I almost fainted yesterday...

Now I'm dreading school because I know my chances of fainting will be way higher 😞

I sit in Harley's room, as he helps me with homework. He's really good at walking me though the math steps. I punch in the numbers to my calculator, laying on his bed. Harley sits against his head board, sketching designs for a Iron Man suit.

"So... X times b?" I ask, and Harley nods.

"Yep, then divide it by c" he says, his blue eyes looking up from his sketchbook.

"I thought that was 132 divided by x times b." I furrow my eyebrows.

"No," he leans forward, "You don't flip these," he points, tapping his finger on the paper.

"oh, alright," I nod, working out the problem.

The Avengers had another conference meeting, so they were all busy with that currently. No one was texting the group chat so I suspected it was serious.

"Harley, you're aluminum steel compound has reached it's temperature of 550°" says JARVIS

"Ok, thank you," Harley shuts his sketchbook, standing up, "I have to go to the labs, wanna come?" He asks.

"Nah," I stand up, "I don't trust myself around hot stuff."

Harley and I leave his room, going to the elevator together. "You hear anything about the court date?" He asks.

"No, not yet," I tuck my hair behind my ears as anxiety twists my stomach.

Harley touches my arm, "Don't worry about it, Tony's great at getting out of complicated situations."

"Situations that he puts himself in?" I try to joke.

Harley laughs softly, pulling away. "Basically."

The elevator dings, "Talk to you later," I step out to the living room.

"Bye," he gives me a little wave before the doors shut.

I walk further into the room, stopping when I see Loki sitting on the couch. I furrow my eyebrows when I see Ivy in his lap. Loki reads a book, petting Ivy distractingly.

"... Never assumed you were a cat person... Or a animal person in general." I put my hands in my pockets as I keep my distance.

Loki looks up from his book, his eyes a dark green. "I didn't think I was, either. Your cat is tame compared to the other beasts."

I go over to the fridge, "Why aren't you in the conference thingy?"

Loki sets Ivy on the ground as he stands, taking slow strides over to me. "I'm more or less what you would call a 'honorary avenger'"

"... Oh," I nod, setting stuff out of the fridge.

Loki leans with his back against the counter, vanishing his book in a shimmer of green. I watch him do so, before averting my gaze. "Why can't Thor do that?" I question.

"Do what?" Loki asks, crossing his arms over his all black tux.

"The magic stuff." I gesture randomly with my hands.

"He didn't learn it." He answers my question.

I go through the cabinets, setting ingredients I need out, "So you learned to do magic?"

"It's sorcery," he corrects.

"Who taught you?" I ignore his correction.

He heisitates for a moment, "My mother."

"How-"

"Do you usually ask this much questions?" He interrupts, slightly irritated, tilting his head slightly.

"No." I give him a look.

He rolls his eyes, and just watches as I put a pot on the stove, lighting it. "... Are you sure a child like yourself should be doing that?"

"I'm 15," I say.

"I'm 1,050," he counters.

"Can a old man like you run a stove?" I challenge.

At his silence, I turn away, "Thought not."
