Wrong Number

Wednesday:

I spent a long time reading, till I started to get a headache. I sigh, laying on the floor again. The door opens and a guard comes in, setting a plate of food on the ground and walking out. The door clicks as it locks. Venom grabs the plate and slides it over to me, "Eat."

"Don't wanna." I mutter.

Venom moves over my shoulder to look at me. "Why? You are hungry. Eat." He says in his rough voice.

I look at him blankly. I look away, laying my open book on my face. A black tendril grabs my book and flings it away. 

"Don't ignore me," Venom growls. "Eat before I eat your liver."

I sit up, grabbing my plate of food and setting it in my lap. It's macaroni and chicken strips, and it looks pretty good. I suspect Sam made it, since it was a pretty easy thing to make.

I pick up my fork and start eating. Venom makes sure I eat, studying me. "You know, when you do that-" I swallow, "it's creepy."

"Do what?" He tilts his head.

"Watching me." I say.

"I am bored." He says.

"So am I!" I say, amused.

"I am not a monster. I did nothing wrong," Says Venom. "so why are we in this bland cell?"

I shrug, "I'm guessing Fury is a paranoid guy. You're a very dangerous... Whatever you are"

"I am a symbiote," he says

"A what?" I ask, taking a bite of the cheesy macaroni.

"I need a host to live." He explains with slight impatience.

"Don't get upset with me, I spend half of my Biology class, out of the class." I say.

"Yes, you're condition is very irritating." He confirms.

"I wish I knew what time it was," I exhale, irritated. It bugged me, being stuck in here. I had no privacy, at all.

I wave at a camera, "Furyyyyyyy... Can you let me ouuuuuuut?" I ask. "Pleeeeeeeaaaaassssee?" I whine at the camera.

Yep, barely a day in a cell and I'm crazy.

The red light on the camera blinks mockingly. I glare before going back to my supper. When I'm done, I stand up as Venom goes back into my body. My legs are stiff, so I set my plate by the door and stretch out my legs. I crack my neck and back. I feel a bit better after that, going to sit back down and continuing to read.

Harley POV:

I sat with the Avengers, Harper's cat Ivy in my lap. Bucky had been helping me take care of her, which I was grateful for. I could tell Ivy missed Harper, as she looked tired and sad when she was normally a active cat. I missed talking to Harper, and now she was in a litteral cell.

We sat at the table, eating Sam's macaroni and chicken strips. Mr. Stark sends glares at Loki. Loki ignored the glares, acting unbothered. "DHS is calling again, sir," Says JARVIS.

"Tell them I'm busy," says Mr. Stark.

"We can't keep her in that cell forever," says Steve, leaning back in his chair.

"I know that, old man! My hands are tied, Fury won't budge." Says Mr. Stark.

"Midtown science high school is calling again," says JARVIS.

"Busy!" Says Mr. Stark, clenching his jaw.

"Tony-" starts Bruce.

"I can't-" Mr. Stark gets up and leaves.

Narrator POV, TW. Sorry if it's bad.

Tony leans against the wall, breathing off. He sits on the floor, vision blurring.

"Mr. Stark? Hey, look at me." Harley sits down next to him.

"You'll fix this, alright? We'll all help you. The avengers, me, Pepper." Says Harley. 

Tony nods, focusing on Harley's voice.

"Harper hasn't done anything wrong, Fury knows that. I'm sure once he knows what Venom is, he'll let her out."

Tony rubs his face, breathing steadying.

"You can ask for help, we all love Harper, too. I mean, platonically, that'd be weird-" 

Tony chuckles softly, ruffling Harley's hair, "I got what you meant, kid."

Pepper smiles from her spot in the door way. Tony and Harley stand up, and Pepper lays her hand on Tony's arm, "you ok?"

He nods, giving her a kiss on the cheek before they go back into the room.
