"Only the best for you. I just want to make you happy."

"Well, you've definitely done that." You smiled, placing a quick peck on his lips.

"I have more stuff planned for us later. But for now, enjoy your family." Your mouth hung open in surprise. Sting acknowledging that Fairy Tail was your family? "What? What's that face for?"

You heard Rogue let out a small chuckle. "Sting, you really are stupid, you know that?"

"Hey!"

"Thank you both for doing this. I'm sure Rogue had a big part in this too." You smiled.

"He was a big help." Sting smiled back.

"I'm not a toddler, you know." Rogue sighed.

"Either way, thank you both. I know it—"

"Love rival!!"

The three of you turned your heads to see Juvia pointing at a girl next to Gray. The girl? Obviously no other than Calista.

"Juvia, cool it!" Gray shouted. "We're just talking, jeez!"

"Gray, your clothes!"

"Come on!"

"You pervert!"

"Gray, my love!"

"Get away!"

"Is this what it was like being in Fairy Tail?" Sting asked you, and you just slowly nodded.

"I will fight the love rival to the death!"

"Juvia, quit it! It's Y/n's birthday, we don't need to be killing anyone in her guild! We're just talking!"

"Love rival!!"

"Hey Y/n!" You would turn your head to the side and see Lucy and Levy handing you a small gift basket. It was filled with candles, face masks, and small Fairy Tail trinkets.

"Lucy and I made you this, we thought it would be nice."

"Thank you, Levy, Lucy! It's cute, I love it." You smiled, taking the basket from them, and Sting took the basket from you so he could carry it, allowing you to hug them.

Sting smiled at your interaction with them, but it soon faded as he started thinking. You were always so happy with them. You were always so excited to see them. He had no doubt that you loved and cared for him, but he couldn't help but feel lousy. He felt like he made you choose between him and your family. He was selfish back then... and still is now.

"Earth to Sting? Hello?" He snapped his head when he heard his name.

"Huh?"

"Everything okay?" You asked, your face a bit worried. Even Lucy and Levy looked worried.

"Yeah, I'm fine! Perfectly fine! Go have some fun." Sting smiled, kissing your cheek gently.

"What about you?"

"I'll catch up with Natsu." He said, and you nodded, running off into a direction with Lucy and Levy.

Sting felt bad.

"You really didn't have to go through all the trouble." You told Sting as you walked hand in hand back home. As a little surprise, he replicated your first date together, except it was the way it was supposed to work out. You watched a romantic movie, went to a fancy restaurant, and took a small stroll in the park, and now were walking home. Sting managed to convince Rogue and the exceeds to 'get lost' for the night, and as a result, ended up staying at Yukino's.

"I wanted to. You're special to me, and I wanted this day to be special for you." He smiled, squeezing your hand tightly.

"It was special, that's for sure. I don't know what I did to get such a great boyfriend." You leaned up and kissed his cheek.

"I wanted to invite your family. I'm sure you've been missing them."

"It was a nice surprise. I wasn't expecting it at all."

"Seeing you with them made me realize something though, and I want to apologize."

"Apologize for what?" Your anxiety started to rise a bit.

"I love you, and I have no doubt that you love me. And it was unfair to you to make you choose between me and Fairy Tail. I was being selfish the night of the Banquet."

"Sting." You said his name softly, kissing his cheek as you reached the front door. "I wanted to stay with you. Everyone in Fairy Tail understood and don't hold it against me for wanting to stay at Sabertooth. I love you. I love you so much. You had no influence in my decision."

"I thought that I did. I was convinced you were going to choose Fairy Tail."

"I will always choose you, Sting. You may piss me off sometimes, but I will always choose you." You smiled, leaning up to kiss his lips. He would return the kiss, your lips moving gently against each other. When you both pulled away, Sting wore a smile.

"I'm glad. I'll always choose you too. Forever and always."

"Forever and always."
