All of this feels like we are in a slow motion, even it all happens so quickly; Tonks keeps telling me about how she wishes to become one of the Beaters, even I'm clearly not paying any attention to her words as I keep shifting my eyes between the boys in stress. I see how the two of the Gryffindor boys are smirking at each other, waiting to see how Snape is about to drink from the cup and get scared to death when he all of sudden is going to grow some gills. In front of everyone here. Without taking eyes off Lily, Snape grabs the cup and is about to bring it up to his lips and take a sip. No..! My legs are moving on their own as I run up to him as fast as I can. No one has the time to react when I swoop in and yell:"DON'T..-!!". With that, I slap the cup out of Snape's hand just before it gets in touch with his lips, and the cup goes flying and quickly falls onto the floor - making a noise and people around us turns to look, all confused what just happened.

My chest keeps going up and down while staring down to the cup. I can see how the liquid on the floor is lightly sparkling, which confirms my suspicions that was indeed the Gillyweed Tonic in there. Phew. Then, before I have any time to react, Snape shoots up from his seat and grabs me from the yellow-black tie, forcing me to face him. "What do you think you're doing?!" he hisses. Oh, he's mad. Panic hits and I'm not sure where to begin:"Wait! You don't understand..-!", "What is happening in here?!" Professor McGonagall rushes to us. James and Sirius both gritted their teeth and slowly disappears behind the Quidditch team that has their eyes on us. People closest to us are quick to turn their backs and pretend not to hear or see what's happening, since they know it's not a good idea be anywhere near in times like these when it comes to McGonagall.

Right when she gets to us, Snape lets go of my tie, but won't stop shooting daggers at me with his dark gaze. I turn to the teacher:"Professor! The..-", "Out to the corridors. Right now." she demands. Both of my eyebrows raise in worry:"But Profes..-", "Don't make me repeat myself, Miss (Y/L). Off you go." she tells, and with that, she began to lead us two out of the Great Hall. As soon as she turns her back on us, Snape and I are quick to exchange this certain glare with each other as in 'this is your fault'. While walking out of the Great Hall, I see with the corner of my eye how Tonks is looking a bit worried what's about to happen. And how the Gryffindor's Quidditch team are taking 'sneaky' glances after us while whispering.

After we got out of the Great Hall, we walk a bit to get more secure area until the Transfiguration Professor stops and turns to us. Snape and I both immediately stop walking when she does this. She shifts her eyes between me and him for a brief moment before speaking:"I'm fairly disappointed in you two.". We both inhale thru our noses at the same time, ready to began to explain to her our own sides of the story, but she quickly continues:"I don't know what's going on between you two - and I don't expect explanation from you, but whatever it is, it will stop right now.". I can feel myself shrinking under her gaze. This is unfair! I was only trying to help. "Causing an unnecessary scene like that is unacceptable. I'll be taking ten points from each of your Houses. And I will warn you; the Headmaster will be the next person you two will be addressing to.".

Before either of us can really even react to her words, she leaves:"Good night.". Her steps fades away as she keeps walking up the marble stairs. That was intense. Ten more points taken away from us? This is getting ridiculous, I must say. The Slytherin beside me has been quiet this whole time as he keeps staring in the distance. Like he's processing everything that just happened. Maybe now it'll be the good time to tell him what really happened at the Great Hall. I lift my head up to him:"Listen, I..-", Snape shoots the coldest glare he has given me so far while keeping his head high, and I take a step back and do a small gulp. "Let me make one thing clear; You and I shall not speak or make any other contact with each other the rest of the school years ahead of us. Understood?" the tone of his voice is calm, yet full of warning. Little bit stunned, I keep staring back at him and try to come up with something to say back. But... I got nothing. And with that, the Slytherin walks away. Leaving me standing at the corridor all alone. Only then, I realize I had hold my breath that whole the spoke to me.

Despite being hungry, I couldn't go back to the Great Hall after what just happened. So I went straight to the Hufflepuff's Common Room. "That... Stupid... Ungrateful... Thing!!" I whisper mutter to myself while ripping the school uniform off after entering the round room where the bedrooms are. Luckily, the other girls I share the room with are still eating upstairs, so I got the alone time to just walk around and try to calm down. While taking off the clothes, one of the buttons of the white shirt gets tangled in my hair, so I struggle to take it over my head among with the grey jumper. "Argh, damn it!" I keep hissing. Being tangled like this gives me these small flash backs when I fell to the Black Lake on my very first day here, and how the school robe got tangled around, so I couldn't move my hands and small panic hits. Shit.

My breathing gets more intense and I began to fight to take the shirt off as fast as I can. And finally, I feel this small sting on my scalp as the little piece of hair snaps and I toss the shirt over my head onto the floor. "Hah..!" I gasp for breath fora quick second while staring at the piece of clothing. Then, I straighten my back and run hands over my face. Calm down. Calm down... After having a quick shower, I put the small light on by the nightstand, take out this small of a wooden box from the nightstand's drawer and sit down onto the bed with it:"Let's see here...". Got some small exchange back from the visit at the Hogsmeade earlier today, so I put them inside the box that already has six galleons, twelve sickles and three knuts. It's not much, but... I'm getting there. This gentle smile comes up to my face while watching the box's insides and dream about I'm going to do with the money once I get the right amount. Just then, I hear how the door to the room is about to open by the girls I share the bedroom with. I quickly close the wooden box, put it back where it was, kill the lights and toss the blanket over me to pretend to be already asleep.

The girls are so deep in their own conversation as they walk in the dark room. "I'm serious! If she didn't fit into Slytherin, why did she haveto come to our House to bother us? She has done nothing, but cause trouble. Thirty points under seven days? Merlin... Does she even understand how hard it is to gain that much points back?" one of them rolls their eyes annoyed while taking off their school robe. "Hey, it's her you're talking about. 'Understand' doesn't belong in her vocabulary." another girl chuckles and others giggles along. Then, one of them puts their nightstand's light on and notices how I'm actually laying under the blanket, so she quickly hushes her friends:"Hey...". They all turn to look and quickly shut their mouths. "...Do you think she heard us?" I can hear one of them whispering. "Nah, she's a heavy sleeper." other one shrugs. Soon, they all began to prepare themselves to sleep while I tried to hold back the tears, and just let them quietly stream down my face.

The next morning, when I walk to the Great Hall for breakfast, I notice some of the classmates glaring at my way and hear some whispers. Seems that yesterday's event caught others interest. I try my hardest to just ignore them and make it quick, and head for the first class of today. This is going to be a long day. "Look!" one of the students exclaims happily when the owls flies in to drop the mail. And soon, the room gets filled with light chatter and the sound of different kinds of wrappings and letters being torn apart. I keep taking hopeful glances up in the air where the owls keeps flying above my seat, but... None of them drops me anything. Just like everyday so far this semester. When I lower down my gaze from the ceiling, I spot Snape walking other side of the Great Hall. There is this tiny pang in my heart. 'Let me make one thing clear; You and I shall not speak or make any other contact with each other the rest of the school years ahead of us. Understood?', 'Understand' doesn't belong in her vocabulary.'.

The grip around the fork tightens as I try to calm down. For a moment longer, I keep looking as Snape is heading out of the room while carrying some books. And he's not alone. Lily is walking right beside him with empty hands. Seems that they are in the middle of a conversation of somekind. He seems so different with her. Like... A whole another person. Wonder... What's her secret? I mean, as far as I know, Snape doesn't like anyone's company. Yes, he does hang out with other Slytherins time to time, but... Not as often. When it comes to Lily, he doesn't seem to mind her presence. Another moment longer, I stare after them, until... Both of my eyebrows raise as the light bulb lights up.
