Udaipur
Poddar Mansion"Bohot zaroori hai. Hum donon ke liye." She replied and at that answer Armaan could feel his heart shattering into pieces.
As she slowly started walking away from him, Armaan felt as if the world was crashing down on him.
The pain in his heart intensifying with every step she took away from him.
Was this how she felt, every time I asked her to stay away? If that was how it felt then how did she survive this multiple times? He wondered to himself.
He finally succumbed to his pain, and fell down on his knees, his quiet tears turning into full, blown sobs.
He hadn't cried like this since he was a little boy who had just found out that his mumma had passed away and he was left to face the world all on his own.
When Rohit passed away, his Abhira had been there, to console him, to hold his hand while he let his sorrows flow in the form of tears.
But now he was all alone, once again. The Poddar Mansion had never felt like home until Abhira had entered.
He hadn't ever known what it felt like to have someone's unconditional support and affection and now he had lost that too.He had lost her.
And he had no one to blame but himself. At that realisation, he sobbed harder, guilt hitting him heavier than ever.
He knew she could hear him cry, but this time she didn't rush to him like she usually did, didn't use her dupatta to wipe his tears, instead she just walked away from him, as if reaffirming his fears, he had truly lost her.
Maybe Dadi saa was right.
He was a curse.
He ruined everything that he touched and he had done that to her.He had burned her heart and her soul in his own pursuit for approval and validation from his family.
As she walked away from him, the street light on top of him flickered and then completely blew out , turning the area pitch black signifying that the light of his life was gone and he was left to deal with his darkness, alone.
He had snatched her light for himself and left her in the darkness to survive all on her own so maybe this was his Karma.
Tonight, instead of the usual sea of compassion and love in her eyes, he had found nothing but pain and hurt.
His family had done that.
He had done that.As she slowly disappeared from his line of sight, he looked down and spotted his own reflection in the broken pieces of a mirror.
He had always hated himself for being a symbol of the sin his father had done, a source of pain for his Vidya maa but tonight, that hate had increased by a thousand folds.
He had hurt the one woman who had done nothing but give him all the trust, respect and support that he had never gotten from anyone, not even the people he called family.
He had hurt her, His Abhira.
His? Was she even his anymore?
What right did he have to call her his? The answer to that was none.
She had clearly stated that they were nothing but strangers to each other from now on.
