The atmosphere lightened by  shifting into a more playful atmosphere. Almost all guests and citizens departed. Radha Rama leaned back in her chair with  a mischievous spark in her eyes.

Radha Rama : Did you see how Devaratha looked at Mythili ? It's almost like he forgot we were all here !

Obulamma : It's like watching a stormy sea calm down at the sight of a gentle breeze.

Bilal, Rinda, and Baachi exchanged knowing glances and their amusement is palpable as they saw deva who is in love.

Baachi : You think they've even noticed how obvious it is ? Deva, the brooding warrior and Mythili, the kind-hearted scholar—perfect match if you ask me.

Aarathi, observing them  felt a mix of emotions swirling within her. She was amused but also reflective, wondering what the implications of such affections would mean for their responsibilities.

Aarathi : Love may be a beautiful distraction, but in our world, it can also bring complications. Mainly for people like you dear deva.

She told to herself.

As the night's tension began to settle and the chaos of the celebration faded, the aftermath left a significant mark on everyone involved. Mythili and Deva had returned to a quieter part of the gathering, their presence still a topic of hushed conversation among the guests.

Aarathi, who had been observing the unfolding events with concern, approached Mythili with a look of both curiosity and empathy. She gently touched Mythili's arm, drawing her into a more private corner away from the remaining festivities.

Aarathi : Mythili, can we talk for a moment? I need to ask you something.

Mythili looked up, her eyes still reflecting the emotional intensity of the night.

Mythili : Of course, Aarathi. What's on your mind ?

Aarathi hesitated before speaking.

Aarathi : I couldn't help but notice the way you and Deva were . There's something more there, isn't there ? Do you have feelings for him ?

Mythili's cheeks flushed. She took a deep breath, knowing that this was a moment of truth.

Mythili : Yes, Aarathi. I do. I've developed strong feelings for Deva. Everything he's done, the way he is protecting me. it  made me realise just how much he means to me.

Aarathi's expression softened, and she placed a comforting hand on Mythili's shoulder. Her tone was warm but filled with an underlying seriousness.

Aarathi : Deva is a remarkable person, but he's also been through a lot. His past is full of pain and sacrifice. He  endured devastating events, and they've shaped him into the person he is today.

Mythili's eyes widened with concern and curiosity.

Mythili : What do you mean ? What has he been through ?

Aarathi took a deep breath by preparing to share the weight of Deva's past.

Aarathi : Deva's life has been marked by significant hardship. Before he left Khansaar, he was involved in a conflict that cost him dearly. He lost friends and his father faced betrayal. He witnessed worst atrocities and fought to protect those who couldn't defend themselves. The scars of his past are not always visible, but they run deep.

Mythili listened intently, her heart aching for Deva as she learned more about his past struggles.

Aarathi : He faced so much, and yet he remains steadfast and protective. He  built a wall around his heart, one that only a few can truly penetrate. If you care for him, you need to understand that you're stepping into a world that's both beautiful and painful. He needs someone who can stand by him through everything.

Mythili's resolve strengthened as she absorbed Aarathi's words. She nodded with determination.

Mythili : I understand, Aarathi. I won't shy away from what lies ahead. I want to be there for him, no matter what.

Aarathi smiled by seeing the sincerity in Mythili's eyes. She embraced her cousin warmly.

Aarathi : Good. Deva needs someone who will stand by him in every situation. Promise me you won't leave his side, even when things get tough.

Mythili : I promise, Aarathi. I'll be there for him, just like he's been there for me.

Aarathi pulled back slightly and her eyes are reflecting both pride and relief.

Aarathi : That's what I needed to hear. Deva is lucky to have you, and I'm sure he'll appreciate your support more than you know.

As they parted, Mythili felt a renewed sense of purpose. The night's events had not only tested her resolve but had also clarified her feelings for Deva. She knew that the road ahead would be challenging, but she was committed to standing by him through every trial they might face. The bond between Mythili and Deva had been forged in the fires of adversity, and she was prepared to nurture it with unwavering dedication.

Few days later , the atmosphere in Khansaar was electric with a blend of anticipation and uncertainty. Deva's hands trembled slightly as he received the translated manuscript from Mythili's friend. The book, originally written in Arabic, was pivotal to his quest for power and control. Its arrival marked a significant moment, one that held the potential to reshape khansaar's destiny.

Deva retreated to his study, a dimly lit room filled with the aroma of old parchment and the soft crackle of a fireplace. The manuscript, bound in weathered leather, felt weighty with its secrets. Deva carefully opened it, the faint scent of ink and aged paper filling the room. He took out the fresh binded papers that had the translation.

As he began to read, the text revealed itself to be more than just historical accounts; it was a detailed guide to achieving an unprecedented level of authority. The manuscript was meticulous in its descriptions of rituals, ceremonies, and the exact steps required to establish a dictatorship beyond challenge.

Deva ( to himself ) : This is not an ordinary text. It's a blueprint for absolute power. Every task, every ritual—it's all part of a grand design.

The manuscript outlined a series of "worthy tasks" that were essential for anyone aiming to ascend to such a position of uncontested authority. These tasks were not mere formalities; they involved intricate ceremonies, alliances with powerful entities, and the acquisition of rare and significant artefacts.

Deva ( to himself ) : The path to dominion is fraught with trials. Each step must be executed with precision.

As Deva delved deeper, he came across a chapter that made his heart race with a mix of excitement and trepidation. This section detailed the history of his tribe's legendary ancestor, a figure who had once wielded immense power. The man who had been the pride of shouryaangas.

Deva ( to himself ) : 'Agrajaa' a forebear of the shouryaana tribe, was a ruler whose mark inspired fear across the known world. His symbol was not just a mark but a declaration of absolute authority.

The manuscript painted a vivid portrait of the Great Agrajaa's reign. He had established an empire through a combination of strategic brilliance and ruthless efficiency. His symbol, a unique mark, was feared and respected by all who encountered it. The mark was said to carry an enchantment that bound people's will and ensured obedience.

Deva ( to himself ) : This mark... it's more than a symbol. It's an emblem of supreme power. To wield it, one must not only understand its creation but also its full significance."

The text detailed how this mark had been used to subdue entire nations, creating a legacy of terror and respect. The Great Agrajaa's reign had been characterised by strategic brilliance and harsh but effective governance. The manuscript hinted that the mark had the power to oppress and control, binding the wills of those who encountered it.
