As Deva's admiration for Mythili grew, so did his internal struggle. He wrestled with the concept of love, feeling it was an emotion he should not indulge in given the complexities of his life and responsibilities. Despite the undeniable connection he felt with Mythili, Deva convinced himself that love was a luxury he could not afford. His focus was on his duties and his commitment to assisting Varadha, which he considered paramount.

Deva : Love... it's a distraction. I don't even know if Mythili feels the same way. May be i am just overthinking . I can't afford to let my emotions complicate things. I need to be dedicated to my role here, to Varadha and the responsibilities I've taken on.

Deva told himself.

Deva's resolve to remain focused on his duties grew stronger, but it did little to quell the feelings he harbored for Mythili. He was torn between his camaraderie obligations and the deep affection he felt for her.

............

One quiet afternoon, Deva and Mythili found themselves alone in the serene gardens of Khansaar that are being developed a lot after varadha's coronation. The sun cast a gentle light over the flowers, creating a peaceful ambiance. Mythili had been contemplating her feelings for some time and had reached a point where she could no longer keep them hidden. She took a deep breath, gathering her courage.

Mythili : Deva, there's something I need to tell you.

Deva : what's that ?

Deva :  I... I have feelings for you. I've been in love with you for a while now. I love you deva !

Deva's heart skipped a beat. He was taken aback by her confession and his mind raced as he tried to process her words. He had feared this moment would come, and now that it had, he felt a mixture of surprise, guilt, and confusion.

Deva : Mythili, I... I didn't know. I've been trying to focus on my work and my responsibilities. I don't know if I can offer you what you deserve.

Deva stammered.

Mythili : But being with you is enough for me. I don't need anything more than that. I just wanted you to know how I feel.

She pleaded him.

Deva : Mythili, you deserve someone who can give you their time and attention. I'm currently dedicating myself entirely to assisting Varadha. I can't offer you the time and commitment you need.

Deva told with a heavy heart.

.............

Mythili's eyes are filled with tears, but she remained resolute. She stepped closer to Deva and her voice is firm but gentle.

Mythili : Deva, it's not about needing more. It's about being with you, even if it's just for moments here and there. I understand your responsibilities, but please don't push me away. I'm willing to wait and be there for you in any way I can.

Deva was deeply moved by her words. He felt the weight of her love and the sincerity behind her feelings. He wanted to protect her from the pain of unfulfilled expectations, but he couldn't deny the depth of her emotions or his own.

Deva : Mythili, you don't know how much your words mean to me. I'm afraid that I'm not in a position to give you what you want. I'm committed to Varadha and our work. But... I can't ignore how important you are to me.

Mythili held his hand and goosebumps arose all over his body because of her coldhands.

Mythili : That's all I ask for, Deva. Your presence, your support, even if it's limited. I love you, and that's enough for me. Please, let me be a part of your life, even if it's in a small way.

.............

Deva felt a surge of conflicting emotions. The thought of Mythili being with him even in a limited capacity, was both comforting and daunting. He knew that his current focus on work and duty might not change, but the possibility of having Mythili's love and presence in his life was undeniably compelling.

Deva sqeezed her hand lightly.

Deva : Mythili, I can't promise you the time and attention you deserve right now. But I can promise that I will cherish your presence in my life and do my best to be there for you in the ways that I can."

Mythili : That's all I need, Deva. Thank you for being honest with me.

Mythili told by smiling through tears.

As they stood together in the garden, a sense of quiet understanding settled between them. Deva realized that while his responsibilities were a significant part of his life, Mythili's love and presence were equally important. It was a delicate balance, but one he was willing to navigate as he continued to fulfill his duties while acknowledging the depth of his feelings for her.

As the weight of their conversation settled between them, Mythili's emotions surged. Overcome with the fear of losing Deva, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace. Her heart raced and her voiceis  trembling as she spoke.

Mythili : Please Deva ! don't abandon me. I can't stay without you. I need you in my life, even if it's just for moments here and there. Your presence means everything to me.

Mythili told with her voice choked.

Deva was taken aback by the intensity of her plea. He felt his heart soften, the walls he had carefully built around his emotions beginning to crumble. The sincerity in Mythili's voice and the vulnerability she showed touched him deeply.

Deva : Mythili...

Without another word, he wrapped his arms around her by holding her close. The warmth of her body against his, combined with her heartfelt plea, made Deva's heart swell with a mix of affection and protectiveness. He buried his face in her shoulder feeling the steady rhythm of her breath as he tried to absorb the gravity of her feelings.

Deva : I'm here, Mythili. I won't abandon you. I promise. You mean so much to me.

He assured her and she hugged him more tightly and ket out her cries. Deva's heart melted. He pulled back slightly, lifting Mythili's chin with his fingers to meet his gaze. He looked into her eyes, filled with a mix of love and reassurance. Slowly, he leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to her forehead. It was a gesture of deep affection and commitment.
