Mythili was taken aback, her eyes widening in shock. She had always tried to maintain a respectful distance from Radha Rama, despite the latter's evident displeasure.
Mythili : I don't understand what you're implying. I've done nothing to deserve such accusations. Your hatred is baseless.
Radha Rama's anger seemed to be escalating, fueled by her frustrations and Obulamma's planted doubts.
Radha Rama : Don't play the innocent with me ! You're always in the spotlight while others like me are sidelined. Everyone thinks you're so saintly, but I see through it.
Aarathi, who had been observing the exchange, stepped in to defend Mythili. Her protective instincts were immediately triggered by the unjust accusations.
Aarathi : that's enough ! Mythili has done nothing to warrant this kind of treatment. You're letting your own frustrations cloud your judgment.
Varadha, who had been quietly observing, remained neutral, his expression unreadable. He felt torn between his stepsister and Mythili, choosing to stay out of the fray in an attempt to avoid further conflict. But his heart is asking him to take a stand for mythili.
Varadha : This isn't the time for accusations and useless emotional outbursts.
Despite Varadha's attempt to mediate, the situation continued to spiral. Deva, who had been standing nearby, felt a surge of anger. He couldn't stand to see Mythili being unjustly accused, especially by someone he felt had been acting with ulterior motives. He always felt that Radha Rama would do something of this sort someday.
Radha Rama : You are lying to everyone that you are a ghnaiyar. But you are a shouryaanga. You didn't tell this to anyone. Correct me if i am wrong !
Varadha : what ?
Radha Rama : yes ! cousin my foot ! She is Vellaar's daughter.
Varadha's eyes grew wide. Aarathi started sweating badly as she wondered how Deva and Varadha will react.
Radha Rama : That cunning fox had given her away to Shivada Ghaniyar's brother-in-law. He wanted her to stay alive and take revenge on Dhaara Raisaar by killing his son. That's none other than Deva. But he is foolish enough to fall in love with this wicked lady.
Mythili : Yes ! I am vellaar's daughter and i am ashamed to admit that. But my love for deva is real. I am nit here for taking revenge.
Aarathi tried to interject but Varadha raised his hand to stop her. He glared at her with blood shot eyes. She kept silent and allowed the past to unfold. She looked at Deva with hopeful eyes.
Deva : I was aware of who she is.
Varadha : Are you out of mind idiot ? Why you let her stay here.
Deva : She is innocent.
Varadha : Innocent my foot ! We can't believe someone from that family.
Deva : But we can believe someone who grew up in Shivada amma's sister's household. Don't you know What sort of person Shanti amma is ?
Varadha : whatever ! But...
Mythili : I just....
Mythili interrupted.
Deva : Mythili, go inside and stay away from this mess. I don't want to see you getting dragged into this any further ! Let me explain everything.
His tone was sharp, and his frustration was evident. The unexpected command shocked everyone, especially Mythili. She looked at Deva with hurt and confusion, her eyes searching for understanding.
Mythili : Deva, why are you....
Deva : Just go. I can't deal with you right now. You've already done enough. Why the hell did you involve into khansaar politics ?
With that, Deva stormed away from the scene, leaving Mythili standing there, feeling a mix of betrayal and sadness. Deva is confused on whom he should show his anger and who is at fault. Aarathi rushed to her side, trying to offer comfort.
Aarathi placed a comforting hand on Mythili's shoulder.
Aaratgi : Don't let this get to you. We know the truth, and that's what matters. I'll talk to Varadha and see if we can resolve this. Deva isn't angry on you. It's just , he is unable to handle this.
Mythili nodded, trying to compose herself despite the turmoil inside. She quietly retreated to her room, where she sat alone, grappling with the sting of the confrontation and Deva's unexpected outburst.
............
Later that evening, In the privacy of her room, Mythili reflected on the events of the day. Her mind replayed the moments of accusation, The harsh words, and her own sense of betrayal. She felt isolated and confused, unsure of where she stood and what had triggered Deva's anger.
Deva, meanwhile, had calmed down and was wrestling with his own emotions. His frustration at the situation had led him to lash out at Mythili, despite knowing deep down that she didn't deserve it. He found himself regretting his actions, but the confrontation had left him feeling cornered and uncertain. Aarathi walked towards him and stood beside him.
Aarathi : Deva, I understand you were upset, but Mythili needed your support, not anger. She's going through a lot, and the last thing she needs is to feel abandoned.
Deva sighed, realizing the truth in Aarathi's words. He knew he needed to make amends and find a way to address the misunderstanding with Mythili. The evening's events had left a heavy cloud over him, and he knew he had to find a way to clear the air and rebuild the trust that had been strained.
Deva : I'll talk to her. Did you speak with Varadha ?
Aarathi was silent.
Deva : He isn't talking to you ?
Aarathi : I'll handle him. You go and talk with mythili. I don't know why you made me to stay silent about this. But , I understand why you've told that.
