Ninjago reader insert (Continuation)

(Y/n)’s POV

As we drive through Ninjago, we continue to bash fire serpents with our elemental vehicles. Mainly, Nya and Zane were doing the work while the rest of us use blunt force.

“My scanners have picked up the Chief and his team up ahead. Despite being surrounded by fire snakes, they seem to have kept a lot of them in one place.” Zane tells us.

“Surrounded?” Jay questions, “Isn't the chief in charge of the military now? How'd they get surrounded?”

“Give them a break, they're still pretty new at this.” I say, “How about we give them a hand?”

“Ninja, go!” We exclaim as we speed up and soon find the chief and his team about to be attacked.

“It's the ninja!” The Chief exclaims as he sees us.

“Hang on guys!” Cole states as we jump out of our vehicles.

“How about a fair fight?” Lloyd says before we and the snakes rush at each other.

Zane, Lloyd, and Jay take out the first few in front before Cole rushes forward.

“I got this one!” He exclaims, jumping into the air and activating his lava arms before slamming into the ground and knocking the snakes away.

I charge forward and blast a few snakes, causing them to go up in smoke. Lloyd then blasts a few behind me and they explode like fireworks.

I then see Seliel use some gymnastics skills to trick three snakes into tying their tails together. Morro then uses the chance to launch them into the sky with his wind before slamming them back down and turning them into nothing but ash.

I snicker, “And Wu said we had gotten soft.”

Lloyd laughs as well, “Right? Hey, Nya, can you get us some water?”

“I'll try!” She says, rushing past Lloyd and I and flipping out of the way of some fire balls before making it to a fire hydrant.

She lifts the water out and creates a small wave and sends it to the snakes, taking out six at once.

“Ha! That's my Yang!” Jay cheers as he takes out a couple more snakes, causing Nya to laugh.

I grin and look around before spotting a few snakes about to attack a couple of citizens who didn't make it out of the city.

“Heads up!” I shout, about to take out the snakes before I see Kai jump in front of me.

“I got this! Hey, Fire-Fakes, pick on someone your own size!” Kai states before trying to use his powers before realizing that he doesn't have any, “Oh, right, no powers.”

I gasp and Jay and I rush over. I pull Kai out the way while Jay takes out the snakes. He gives Kai a salute before jumping off to finish up with the snakes.

Kai scoffs and pulls himself from my grip, “I had that.”

I raise an eyebrow as we run to regroup with the others, “Uh-huh. Fire-Fakes? You could've done way better. Like…Hey, Blazing brutes, or even, Hey, Flaming vermin!”

“I wasn't talking about the insult!” Kai snaps, “Besides, your insults are too long.”

“At least they don't suck.” I argue before we reach the others.

“Oh, thank you! It's good to have you all back!” The Chief says, relieved.

“Good to be back, Chief!” Lloyd tells him as we all take off our hoods.

The Chief suddenly goes to check his phone as he gets a notification, “We're getting reports from army team C. The leader of the serpents is heading for the Ninjago History Museum!”
