He Jinyun, who had participated in fewer variety shows, couldn't help but ask, "Does that really happen?"
"Of course!" Wei Bei raised his voice, frowning as he complained, "I've been burned by other shows too many times."
You Jia found this amusing and said with a smile, "But didn't we clearly sign a contract this time? It's a travel and food show at a slow pace, so it's perfectly normal for the first day to be all about travel. Brother Bei, you really don't need to be so suspicious."
Wei Bei still looked uncertain. "Are you sure?"
The director chimed in, "Absolutely!"
You Jia patted Wei Bei on the shoulder. "Come on, Brother Bei, don't overthink it. Even if there were some kind of trap, it wouldn't be during breakfast. Let's just eat first; I'm starving!"
Seeing that he couldn't get any more answers, Wei Bei had no choice but to drop the subject and sit down.
Watching this unfold, He Jinyun relaxed completely, a faint smile appearing on his face.
Meanwhile, Ye Zexi, after hearing what You Jia said, seemed deep in thought.
Before starting breakfast, they briefly discussed how to split into teams. In the end, it was decided that Ye Zexi and He Jinyun would form one team, while Wei Bei and You Jia formed the other.
The group then started their meal.
Wei Bei, as expected, was very talkative, and with him leading the conversation, the atmosphere quickly became lively. Although the four were not very familiar with each other, by the end of breakfast, they felt much closer.
He Jinyun found the experience particularly relaxing, reflecting that recording variety shows was indeed less stressful than filming movies.
Just as he was about to turn and chat with Ye Zexi, he noticed that Ye Zexi was frowning, fiddling with a carton of milk.
Curious, He Jinyun leaned over and asked, "What's wrong?"
Ye Zexi blinked at him and quickly shook his head. "Nothing."
After breakfast, the first destination was Atlantis Water World, located near the hotel.
Wei Bei and You Jia were the first to stand up and head toward the lobby entrance.
Ye Zexi lagged behind a bit. When He Jinyun got up to follow the others, Ye Zexi tugged at his sleeve. "Teacher He."
He Jinyun paused and turned to look at him. "What is it?"
Ye Zexi's lips slowly curved into a sly smile as he picked up a carton of milk from the table, lightly tapping the bottom with his finger. "Let's go to the lobby and take a picture first."
He Jinyun's eyes narrowed slightly as he spotted a small line of text at the bottom of the carton. His pupils dilated briefly.
When he looked up again, he saw Ye Zexi giving him a mischievous grin.
So there was a hidden task?
He Jinyun was incredulous and glanced over at the director.
The director pretended not to notice He Jinyun's look.
How could a variety show not have hidden tasks?
If the director said there weren't any, the underlying message was clearly that the guests had to find them themselves!
Seeing that the two hadn't come out after a while, You Jia returned to check on them. "Are you guys ready?"
Ye Zexi was the first to snap out of it. With a natural expression, he tossed the milk carton into a nearby trash can. "We're coming!"
