The shoot concluded, and a staff member, unable to restrain their curiosity, asked the already furious director, "Director, are you really going to delete it?"
The director nearly smashed his phone camera in response.
With He Jinyun having spoken, how could he not delete it? He had begged He Jinyun to be part of this project; if he didn't delete it, today's shoot might have been in jeopardy!
That damn He Jinyun hadn't even told him who the person was!
Anyone who was precious to He Jinyun must be extremely important.
Sighing deeply, the director remarked, "It looks like He Jinyun won't be doing any more risqué photo shoots in the future."
The staff member was shocked. "Is that true?"
The director replied coolly, "What else could it be? Unless you want him to break up?"
The staff member quickly covered their mouth, no longer daring to say anything.
The three-day shoot wrapped up swiftly. Aside from the first day when Ye Zexi accompanied He Jinyun to the set, he hadn't left the hotel in the subsequent two days.
It wasn't that Ye Zexi didn't want to go; he had caught a cold from sleeping in an air-conditioned room.
Although Ye Zexi didn't think his cold was a big deal, He Jinyun insisted he stay in the hotel.
So, He Jinyun continued shooting while Ye Zexi rested in the hotel.
By the time the shoot ended, Ye Zexi's cold had also improved.
Gao Shu called Ye Zexi a day in advance, asking when he would return. The shoot for 'The Food Journal' was in two days, so Ye Zexi needed to arrive early.
Ye Zexi hesitated for a moment and decided, "I'll fly directly from Shanghai to Suzhou to meet you."
Gao Shu was surprised and instinctively said, "That won't work..."
Before he could press further, Ye Zexi interrupted, "By the way, please bring the scripts and contract along with you."
Gao Shu quickly shut up, changing his tune, "Alright, young master, don't worry. I've picked out several scripts, and I'll bring them all. You can choose one and sign it!"
"Good." Ye Zexi nodded and hung up, giving He Jinyun a wink.
See, the problem was solved.
He Jinyun, however, didn't smile but rather narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing Ye Zexi. "Is this how casually you sign contracts now? What about when I approached you back then..."
Ye Zexi became alert, observing He Jinyun's expression, and forced a smile, "That was because I really wanted to quit the industry at the time! Plus, we weren't familiar then, so I naturally declined. And I'm signing the contract now for what? To be with you. Besides, even if I had declined, didn't you still convince Assistant Gao to sign the contract? I ended up doing the movie anyway."
He Jinyun felt a pang of guilt at this.
Clearing his throat, He Jinyun defensively explained, "I only discussed it with Assistant Gao, and he thought it was a good fit, so the contract was signed."
"Hmph." Ye Zexi snorted but decided not to press the issue any further since it was in the past.
He Jinyun then asked, "Actually, the contract we signed then was essentially invalid. Why did you still come to shoot?"
Ye Zexi glanced at He Jinyun and said matter-of-factly, "Of course, it was because I was broke. You know my dad froze my bank card."
He Jinyun couldn't help but smile at this expected answer.
