"Hey, Ta-" Areum called out to the tall guy wearing a hoodie and leaning against the wall before getting cut off but him.
"Piss off. I'm not interested," Taehoon said, only glancing for a second before going back to his phone.
When Taehoon said that, it made Areum confused and speechless. Usually Taehoon wasn't this mean and bipolar. Areum took a good minute to rack her brain to try and remember if she did anything. Did she say anything about Dowoon? Nah, they barely talked about him anymore. Did she make fun of taekwondo? That couldn't be it, even if she did, Taehoon probably would've marched over to her house or school to have her head on a stick.
After eliminating all her options, she was even more confused. But then she finally realized, she hadn't taken off her makeup. She usually took off her makeup at night before bed in case she had somewhere to go. But the problem was... Taehoon had never seen her with makeup on. He's only seen her bare face for the years they knew each other.
"No, no! Taehoon! It's me! Areum!"
Now it was Taehoon's turn to be confused and speechless.
"I knew you were fucking ugly, but I never thought you'd get plastic surgery."
"What?!"
"How much did it cost?"
"I didn't get plastic surgery!"
"How'd you convince your parents to let you?"
"Enough!" Areum glared at him, "I didn't do plastic surgery, I just practiced makeup before high school."
"Sound's like bullshit," Taehoon said, "My mom does makeup, and she doesn't change her face."
Areum sighed at that.
"You said that you practiced before high school, right? Was this why we barely hung out for a year?" Taehoon leaned down to her height.
"Psh... what? What're you talking about?" Areum said, trying to dodge his claim.
"You're ugly when you lie."
"But I'm not lying..."
"Then why are you ugly?"
"Shut up, bitch! Weren't you the one who invited me out? Why are we getting sidetracked? What'd you even want?"
"Arcade. What else do we do?" Taehoon pointed at the nearby arcade with his thumb.
"Did you get banned from the one back in your area?"
"Shut up, little shit."

Because they ate and drank while playing games at the arcade (which wasn't really allowed but Taehoon was way too scary to defy), Areum, of course, had to go to the bathroom like any other human being, and touch up her makeup.
Areum was on her way back to Taehoon when a guy, who looked a bit older, approached her.
"He... hey, can I get your number...?" The guy asked, sweating and blushing a bit while extending his phone out to her.
"Sorry... I'm in high school..." Areum nervously said.
"That's fine, I don't mind."
"I'm not really interested..." Areum said before trying to walk away.
"What's the big deal? It's not like I'm trying to sleep with you!" The guy grabbed her wrist.
Areum tried pulling her wrist back but the guy let go when he was met with a back kick.
"Taehoon!" Areum quickly looked at Taehoon who just kicked the guy in the solar plexus.
"I don't see it, you're still ugly," Taehoon said. He honestly couldn't go one day without insulting her. "Also just do that next time. And you owe me 500 won, I left my game for this," Taehoon basically dragged her along back to the Tekken machine.
"I don't like to fight..." Areum looked down before looking back at him. "Taehoon, do you think I could work at the dojang?"
"Where'd that shit come from?"
"I just need more money. After my parents found out how much I was spending on makeup, they started reducing my allowance..."
"Ah... no."
"What?! Why?!"
"You just said you don't like fighting," Taehoon looked back at her when he sat back down in front of the Tekken machine. "So that means you must not use it."
"Well I'm not you first of all, and second, when would I beat someone up during school."
"Shut up. And you're not working there."
"Bitch..."

After Taehoon beat up the guy that hit on Areum, he beat up some other guys too which resulted in both of them getting kicked out. Which made Areum pretty salty, especially since they had to head to a different arcade that was further away. But while leaving, Areum was pretty sure that she saw Zoe, an unconscious Daniel being carried by an overweight guy, a drunk Zack and his three followers, whatever their names were, approach the punching game outside. But that was besides the point, they were both headed to Taehoon's house since his dad made him bring Areum over since he hadn't seen her in a while.
When they got to his house, Taehoon let her inside and they were met with a panicked Hansu.
"Areum, what happened to you?! Did those bullies finally get to you?!"
When they heard that from Taehoon's dad, and Areum stared in confusion with dotted eyes.
"What...?"
"You poor girl! You shouldn't have gotten plastic surgery! You were beautiful before too!"
Hansu said as he pushed Taehoon aside and put his hands on Areum's shoulder, being panicked.
"I think you're mistaken..."
"It's my fault too... I should've let Taehoon teach them a lesson..."
"Wait what?" Areum said, nervous because she knew what that meant. Especially with Taehoon. "I didn't get plastic surgery... I just practiced makeup..."
"What?" Hansu said.
"What?" Areum said this time.
Both of them were very confused. Areum didn't get surgery? She looked that different with makeup? Sounds impossible...

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ I actually had a hard time writing this chapter cause I'm not that into Viral Hit but I wanted a reason why Zoe and Areum got closer together and become friends and cause I wanted Areum to be doing something too while the others were drinking 😭😭😭😭
